When it comes to a matter of whether a word is derogatory or insulting, it depends on who is listening.

 

Most people might not find the word "n***a" to be insulting. But some will. You can take that to heart. I grew up near St. Louis, Missouri. If I would have driven through North St. Louis everyday, on my way to school, and tried using that word in every conversation, there is a 99.9999999% probability that I wouldn't be alive today to post in these forums about it.

Racist black or white needs to understand that the design of the world is to have us all to owe on loans, pay taxes, bills and their so called freedom is bought through a paying system.. Racist may think their certain race is superior, but the people who controls the MONEY SYSTEM only sees one color GREEN.

 

I live in the US where we are trillions of dollars in debt... Here we are all starting to be treated like ni**ers no matter what race and the young men and women need to realize it...

It's meaning in modern urban and popular culture has shifted to a casual acknowledgment of friendship. It's basically the " dude" or " bro" for certain demographics, and that's fine. To say that no matter the context or situation it is racist is hilariously misguided and an interesting bit of lingual fascism. Obviously some use it because it's the vernacular of their culture, and others because they hear the cool guys on television using it or hear it dropped in the modern mistral show that is mainstream rap music, but either way theres no malice involved beyond the bit imagined by some of the contributors to this thread.
