GTA Online servers, time of day and weather

Has anyone else noticed that the servers you join are in the same time of day and the same weather as all the rest?

Was stalking the night, friend started playing GTA Online, joined his session, midday.

i dont know but the server i join are like running on their own time and weather.

 

i can be in a server that the sun is just rising with clear skies and switch server and land in a server that its midnight and raining.

I was playing yesterday and the screen flashed and it went from sunny to midnight instantly. Was pretty wierd.

That happened to me in GTA IV online a few times and now in V too. My guess would be something with the server/lobby trying to sync everyone's game?
