Just been to the store and seen those overpriced cash cards seriously its shocking to see a virtual money cost £30

When you can buy at least 2 games in the January sale with the same price .

 

Its funny when people moan when Activision release a dlc saying its a rip off so I'd rather glitch and duplicate my adders since any car can be sold even cars before 1.08 using a random car and then signing out from the psn so rock star you can piss off I already made 25 millions by duplicating and selling chrome adders every 45 min

I think more money is made on game sales, but I highly doubt R* gets 100% of the transactions made on GTAO. And you're right, you don't need to. It's only if you want a simple boost. What's more, I only bought a shark card lately as a bit of 'insurance', even if I had $3.7 million already.

Hold up.. so people here actually think cash cards are accurately priced? If I spend 80% of the money that I paid for the game at full retail price I'd expect a small damn fortune or a hell of a good f*cking DLC, not a measly 3.5m you can blow in 10 mins purchasing and upgrading 3 supercars.

Appropriately priced, no. It's up to the consumer to decide what and how much they are willing to pay for something. If R* notices that people aren't buying the more expensive cash cards then will lower the price in order to gain more profits. It isn't too hard to grasp.

Seeing all the bragging about how fast some people claim they can generate millions of GTA0 $$, I am calculating that if they could share that money with other players in exchange for real cash via Paypal, at an exchange rate of 75% of Rockstar's official exchange rate (GTA0 $3M per £30 real cash), they could go into the gold farming business and be making more money than they are making right now at McDonalds.

OP, there is another option R* approves for getting money along with the cash cards.

 

Rockstar put in these missions into GTAO, those are what those calls you might have been getting in game are for, anyway if you pick up and do the missions, you get FREE money.

 

Some of the early ones don't pay the best, but by the time your in your mid 20s levels, you can play some that pay around $7500 on hard mode when you repeat them. The best part is they all only take 5-10 minutes and you can call to do them over and over and over. It's pretty great.

 

I highly recommend the missions if you don't want to buy money from R*.
