DisasterMaster13
The game takes place in a sci-fi/ fantasy styled open world game. There are 2 characters with their own stories that occasionally intersect with each other. The entire game takes place in one state. The first protagonist is a teenage hacker vigilante who is trying to rebel against the local mafia (The Seon Family) who who runs most of the city. The second is a man apart of another criminal mafia trying to take down the more powerful one while building his criminal empire. Both have the same goal but are on different sides. Gameplay: There happens to parkour and freerunning mixed in with gunplay. You can use the environment to your advantage in fights. ex: Throw a grenade into a lake during a battle and when it explodes a wave will come up and knock enemies to the ground. Use unique weapons like plasma pistols, thunder shotguns and more. You can switch between 2 unique protagonists. Dynamic AI such as enemies blocking shots from weapons with various objects. Environment destructible to a certain point. Vehicles that handle like Gran Turismo. You can increase skills like shooting, stealth, stamina, strength, health, driving and respect( In the case of protag 2# . Random events, side missions and activities scattered around map. Tone and Atmosphere: The story and setting is a mixture of subtle tongue in cheek humor and noirish seriousness. Also the story has endings influenced by actions during the story. . Mission examples: Sabers, Hellhounds and Wyverns Oh my: The criminal goes down to a monster smuggling operation run by the Seones and has to sneak around and let the monsters loose to mess with the Seones operation. Say hello to the Hacker: This mission is an introductory mission to the hacker. The hacker goes into a warehouse run by the Seones and hacks a supercomputer which sends him into a virtual world where he has to defeat the security and firewalls to get the info he needs. Multiplayer: Create your own gang and invite players to join. Own a house in the suburbs, ghetto, countryside, and the woods. Money is king so do some missions and activities to earn up! Do activities like monster hunting, fight club, gambling, street racing, deathmatches, survivals and more! At the beginning you'll be doing some low-level favors but you'll get better more unique favors as you go up in levels. Take over territories to show your gang's dominance over rivals. Own gang hangouts where you and your gang can just hang out and do some indoor activities. People who blow up other people's vehicles repeatedly will get the title of 'Jackass' and be sent to a prison where your weapons will be confiscated for however long your sentence is. You can have your gang help you break out but if you are caught by the police during before the in-game week is up you go right back in to prison. Hackers who mess with the game get life without chance of parole. Edited January 20, 2014 by DisasterMaster13

I think it's kinda similar because I was originally coming up with ideas for a GTA game but I ended meshing it together with another idea I had. Also do you have any ideas? Mista J
Is it just me, or is this just GTA, Brink, and Bioshock mixed into one? Edited January 19, 2014 by DarthShinobi

DisasterMaster13
Such a cliche story you've just made up. No offence. It's just a placeholder story until I can come up with something a bit better. If you have any ideas post them on this topic. Edit: And honestly alot of creative stories have been taken so this is the best I could come up with at the time. Is it just me, or is this just GTA, Brink, and Bioshock mixed into one? What the hell is Brink? Edited January 20, 2014 by DisasterMaster13

Tycek
No offence, but there is not a single idea there, just a mix of random games thrown to one pot and mixed up. Game like this would have to have excellent quality to stand out from the group of different games.

Plus other than the powers which I now got rid of the game doesn't seem too random. It just takes some concepts from other games and mixes them together to get a unique result. CatDog96
I always come up with game ideas that I think are really good, I just wish there was a way I could actually make them though.

Plus other than the powers which I now got rid of the game doesn't seem too random. It just takes some concepts from other games and mixes them together to get a unique result. Honestly, it doesn't even become unique, it just becomes a mess of other concepts thrown together. And lol @ all the creative stories being taken already. That's impossible. Ok, if you wanna design a game, either start with a mechanic or start with a story, don't just throw things together and see what happens. The missions you talked about are so uneventful, normal, that they could happen in any time in history, not limited to the "future". f*ck, turn the genre around. You play the game as a digital junkie, a guy who is addicted to a drug manufactured in the future, that affects his real self as well as his digital persona. He works as a digital drug runner in his virtual life, making contacts and deals that affect the real world. But the longer he stays in the virtual world, the more his real world person needs the drug to sustain the addiction. In the real world, he's just some loser, in some ghetto, always looking for his next hit. Add a twist somewhere, some cool differences between the real world and virtual world, or no difference at all to keep the player invested into knowing which world he's currently in. There. Guest
Don't bump your own topics. If no-one wants to talk about your ideas, accept it and move on. Bumping the thread and clogging up the forum doesn't change anyone's mind. As for your ideas, yeah you've just listed a bunch of things you like from each game and threw it all together. Wouldn't work as an actual game. Edited January 21, 2014 by Guest

Edit: Also the forum is cluttered with way worse stuff than my topic. Example, car dupe topics by the hundreds. universetwisters
Edit: Also the forum is cluttered with way worse stuff than my topic. Example, car dupe topics by the hundreds. That's all a matter of opinion. Along with that, those threads at least have some form of content in their posts. You, on the other end, are just bumping for the sake of bumping. That aside, reckon you can tell us more about the protagonists, since you already got me reading through the list?
