How many of your friends have bought Cash Cards?

Go to your in-game Xbox Game Store or your Sony equivalent while in GTA Online. When you highlight an option, on the bottom it shows a person icon with a number next to it. Note that it takes a bit to update so move around the options until it shows. I believe this is the number of people in your friend list that have used that DLC. It also shows for Beach Bum and Capture DLC so you can see how much of your friends have left between the 2. Who knows, I may be wrong.

Having said that, to answer the OP.. I don't know and I have never really cared to check (nor will I, if I am being honest).

No cash cards for me, none for my friends either. I don't want to buy any, I make enough during my game play anyway so they aren't necessary for me to purchase. I think they are a waste of money, other people think otherwise, that's how it is. Gaming devs love microtransactions now, it's all money money money these days, nobody creates stuff for the love of doing it anymore, just all for the pay day.

There's a million threads obsessing over cash cards, they're a thing now, gaming has changed.

 

Btw, I comment "positively" on loads of threads, just not in the whiny "Cockstar are evil because they want to make money" threads.

 

I use this forum to discuss a game and developer that I like, not to complain about them whilst still playing their game.

So instead of giving simple numbers the thread turns into a flamefest. Only one posted the information I wanted. Seems it's a touchy subject. To the one that pointed out that there is a few threads regarding cash cards at the moment, yes, I noticed. Just that none pointed out how many people actually buy them so I wanted to see if there was a trend among friend lists.

edit: constant whining about R* and the game and cash cards grinds my gears though. You dont have to buy cash cards, hell you didnt even have to buy GTA. People should just go play something else if they hate the game that much.

None of my friends play GTA: O... well, aside from buddies I've got(ten) while playing it of course. Either way I do not know that have they purchased an immediate injection of liquid assets.

 

But I have. With leftover $$$ my dad had used to buy Gran Turismo 5 DLC. It was nice.
