Hmm........ If you can't discover anything, how about opening your eyes? I mean seriously, did you know that there are hobo camps on the north of the map?

Ok, in that case, tell me what is there to do or see with these hobo camps ? Anything interesting ?

I dunno. I just saw that place because I was doing the bounties. I didn't have time to explore the area.

Lol yeah, that camp is pretty cool/interesting..I highly recommend you check it out if you haven't already.

I do agree the game has a lot of missed opportunitys and yeah, some of that is due to R*'s focus on the online aspect but mostly do to hardware limitations.

That said,At the end of the day its a sandbox game.your imagination is what really makes or brakes the experience.

Seems like a troll topic. Nothing to discover? It's the opposite for me. I guess some people get bored quickly or need a guiding hand to lead them everywhere.

I said this a while back. This map size leaves you with nothing besides a desert, forest small city, and a few lakes here and there. Other than that there never nothing new to see.

No activities going on with peds.. and this couldve made the game alot better. To pass a ped and actually see them doing something. .. to prolly interrupt and shidd

Map couldve been bigger but if it was. Prolly just woulda bee the same desert .. lakes or forrest.

I woulda like it if it was more city instead of just fillin 3/4 of the map with usless shid

You would'a liked it but tons and tons of other people like big maps.

If they made a small map, you'll see one whole page in the V section filled with complaints about how the map is small. Trust me, it's better that they made it this way.

offtopic but I consider the map especially city of los santos to be smaller than algonquin.

I still get lost in liberty city figuretively and literally, it's a fun game with lots to discover to this day, oops sorry.

OP — get a minisub and go underwater. The minisub is slow but during the day the sea is beautiful to look around in. It's actually gorgeous.

Actually, why does he even need to tell you how to have fun in GTA? You gotta figure that out by yourself.

Hmm........ If you can't discover anything, how about opening your eyes? I mean seriously, did you know that there are hobo camps on the north of the map?

Yes actually.

Did you know your char can't enter or interact with any of these tents? Did you realize that if they actually could, this would have opened a whole new level of game play back in SP? Because that would have meant your char could

1. go on hunting trips in Blaine county? Or

2. use the tent as a mobile operations base to harass the Nudist colony at Mt. Chilliad? Or rob and terrorize local grocery store clerks along the highway?

3. Or take it on a weekend hike to RP camping out in the wilderness?

4. Or use it as a means of shelter from the weather? Or as security from predators like mtn lions?

5. Or take a weekend camping trip up to that large AI campground at Mt. Chilliad? Or hang out at that hippie park in Sandy Shores?

In the 100+ days since GTAO came out, the map has been explored to death--both in SP and in GTAO. The lack of interiors, the wasted water areas of the map, and overall absence of SA style immersion (e.g nightlife, buildings interiors, more reactionary NPCs etc) had a lot of players bored by the end of the first 30 days.

Little details (like adding more interactive objects in the game world) would have made a world of difference playing SP and online. Because the number of RP things you can do outside the structured missions in FM are somewhat limited. And that limitation is largely driven by what your char can interact with. They can't play a game of poker, or pool with NPCs or other players. They can't hunt or fish and/or sell stuff to the stores. They can't visit a store, order some clucking bell/pizza and stuff themselves until they puke. They can't eat fast food all the time and get fat. Or work out at the beach and get ripped. They can't explore underwater because no wildlife or interesting things exist to explore down there. And even if you wanted your char to explore underwater, they can't because no subs or scuba gear exist. Unless you count the water breathing ability of the underwater walking glitch that is.....

Yes your char can do creative, impromptu activities like base jumping, watching movies, playing golf on Sundays and other mini games to relax after missions etc. etc. But many impromptu activities like these (drag racing around the city in FM etc) can already be accomplished on missions. So there is no sense of a change of pace. It's unfortunate activities like the movies become a complete turn off after watching the first couple of reruns.

Nearly 4 months after GTAO release and there is nothing new or fresh about the game play in GTAO. The free DLC did a poor job of compensating for the lack of innovation on R* part TBH.

If R* adds any custom features in the future, it's most likely going to come in the form of $$$$ DLC. Which is likely to be in the form of more of the same missions (VS, LTS, DM etc)

yes. now if only the sub spawned more frequently online. Or instead of tanks, give us the ability to BUY the damned thing once you get to level 40+.

Then yes, RGSC might see a LOT more uploaded pics in the future. And players would be better able to appreciate what the underwater map areas are really like.

Love gta v but honestly the map is kind of boring, just big mountains with nothing new to see!

I have been playing red dead since release and found an area in the game I have never seen before only last week!!

COME ON RED DEAD 3

Btw night time in gta v is horrible, no atmosphere at all!

Still loving gta v though (still play rdr more though!)

You still play Red Dead?

Personally I find it boring. But that's the thing with these maps.

Big open world with nothing to do. If the maps were smaller yet more condensed with plenty to do like Skyrim, or (until it's released and we see) Watch Dogs, and Assassin's Creed, then it'll have more play value for me.

NIght time at Del Pero pier and Vespucci beach is one of my favorite nights in a game.

Agree with the OP. RDR was always kept fresh because of the limitations of perspective from being on horse back. But it also seemed to have a lot more random events. Add the hunting mini game & AI bounty hunting to this and RDR was always interesting. Exact opposite in GTAO were most of the conflict is centered on PvP instead of against the AI in FM. R* needs to increase the variety of random events besides gang warfares and robbing armored truck events. The first has become stale and the second doesn't occur enough.

Riding the ferris wheel at night in SP had the best photo ops you could take in the game. I just wish there was more immersive/fun we could do on the map (like back in SA). Especially in areas like the pier. Stuff like:

* add a WORKING SA style casino to the desert area FFS.

* make all of the amusement rides functional on the beach pier so you can go hang out/ride them with your friends.

* Add Bully style amusement park mini games in a future DLC. Basically add ALL the arcade mini games that were in that game. Your char (Jimmy) could literally play these and win money and prizes. That would be a nice change of pace in making a little bit on money in FM next to PvP.

* make all of the video games on the Broadwalk functional like in GTA IV

* add a 2nd smoke on the Water weed clinic on the pier and make it functional. You should be able to buy drugs/weed to give health boost and get high

* make at least 10% of the fake store fronts on the pier interactive with a convenience store menu (since 99% of the stores lack interiors). But you would be able to buy different things (scuba gear, underwater weapons like harpoons etc)

* add random spawns of underwater collectibles like in SP. You should be able to buy a tracker from a store at the pier, rent a sub or rubber dinghy from the same store (or have your own delivered by Pegasus) and hunt for nuke waste, sub parts etc. which you can sell for cash.

* add a surfing/wind sailing shop to the pier and surfing animations for the water. We should be able to do this or at least wind sail by now :facedesk:

* Add a fish and bait/tackle store to the pier and fish/sharks to ocean. So the waterfront would have another real attraction next to walking under water FFS. :facedesk:Buy now, we should at least be able to buy fricking fishing poles and bait. Then call up Pegasus to deliver our yacht so your char can fish in a fishing mini challenge (similar to the hunting mini game). To make money, your char would have to drop the fish caught at the fish shop on the pier. Or keep the fish to eat as food later...

* make at least 10% of the existing fake storefronts have markers where you can interact and actually buy the food that store is supposed to sell. That Mexican taco stand on the pier is a good example of a place your char should be able to eat/hangout. Or regain health during FM shoot outs or while on missions etc.

* make the stores on the pier hold regular hours. So they would open/close like from 10am to 11pm daily etc. These would work the way the vendor stores were highly customized back in Saint's Row I & 2. e.g. if you drove to the University campus district in Stillwater, you could only buy college associated clothes. If you went to the industrial areas, you could only buy punk rock/grunge clothing etc etc. So if you visit the pier in GTAO, you should only be able to buy beach bum wear DLC, scuba gear, fishing poles etc etc.

The list of omitted content in GTAO is endless. So much missed potential. :/

There's no way Rockstar is going to do all of that. You know it. I know it. And I hope everyone else knows it.

And especially for free? Lmao. Get outta town. No freakin' way. Would be nice though, I'll give you that. Only hope for most of those suggestions are mods.

And even then there's only so much we'd be able to do.
