Race creator

Can somebody help me pls? I'm creating a point to point race and I've just put my checkpoints down. I've done 68 checkpoints now and on my map it shows the last checkpoint as a finishing flag. What I need help with is... How do I save the checkpoints so that I can move on with creating my race? When I go back to the previous option (placement) it wont let me edit the options for weapons/props/stunt jumps

if the race trigger is in place you should have no problem with the checkpoints.

Ok so I've done it again using the tutorial, the race trigger is definitely in the right place otherwise it wouldn't let me move on to the lobby camera. It doesn't let me move onto the next stage of creating a race until I have done the last one.. So I've done the trigger, lobby camera and placed my checkpoints but it still wont let me move onto weapons, props etc.. I've checked the brief to see if I've missed something and the last instruction I was given was to press select (ps3) to switch the camera view and warp into the default vehicle for the race. then it says press down to activate the menu again.

 

I've been round the track now and placed all of the checkpoints to exactly where I want them but I still cant move on and select the options for weapons/props/jumps etc.. My course is a point to point race with 68 checkpoints over 7.5 miles. Does anyone know why it might not let me edit the other options or is there something that I'm missing? like I said, the tutorial part of the tutorial hasn't told me what to do or where I've gone wrong so hopefully someone on here knows?
