Rapid GT why no one likes it?

I went with its bigger brother. Trying to find a good color for it had to farm coveted to be able to afford it.

The model itself isn't so great. Reliable on speed but I'm honestly lazy to handbrake everytime I want to do a usual normal turning.

 

Owned that thing for a few days, kinda used to it, but meh.

 

Im always down for some races in my Rapid. Its easy to talk, lets walk the walk.

 

You racing against other people will not prove anything about the ability of the cars. A much better way to test would be for you to race solo in the different cars. The same track, lots and lots of reps/laps. Once you spend some time getting used to each car, you'll see what each is capable of. The Rapid GT will get crushed on tracks that aren't defined by long straightaways. It will do well on the tracks that feature long straights and few tight turns.

It seems they got the two backwards. I would expect that from a 4 door in this game. The Schafter vs Schwartzer comes to mind as well.

 

Not complaining as I quite like the Exemplar and goes down as my favorite car with 4 doors.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've driven a Aston db9 in real life and it was nothing like in this game. I also driven the rapide which is the exemplar and it was more like the rapid gt in the game

idk if anyone likes drifting around, but i bought the rapid GT specifically for drifting. its the best car in the game for all around drift car in my opinion. prob cuz i dont like the Karin family, but to each their own.

 

anyway the handling is pretty good once you get used to using that e-brake.

It was one of my first purchases and I loved the take off and straight line speed but it just doesn't turn good enough. Even after I got used to it, it was still a pain to drive sometimes.

Well it's only fair that the 2door handles better than a 4 door or equal. In real life the vanquish handles better than a rapide.

In any type of drag race, carbo beats rapid gt by 0.3 second, the handling of rapid gt is good on the city's 90 degree corner, but carbo does it better, only thing with the carbo wrong is too tail happy and hard to recover from tailgate/crash and the deformation is quite quick, rapid gt's wheel can be jammed quite easily, so carbo is just a slightly little better on handling, don't forget rapid gt only cost about 130,000 while carbo is 195,000. But I picked up surano instead

IMO The Rapid GT is one of the best vehicles in the sports category in terms of design and it's incredible engine note. If you're looking for a vehicle to get the best times around the track the 4 stats that R* only gives us is deceiving because there are hidden stats as explained by this youtuber @ 6:20 of his video with a full car stat spreadsheet in the description. He also does a review of the whole of the sports category which you can see on his channel as well.

 

As for me? Though, I like the aesthetic appeal of the vehicle I just didn't care for its handling characteristics for the tendency to understeer and the vehicles that handle like a go-kart (Coquette and 9F) I just found their straight line acceleration wasn't enough to make it up to times to that of the Carbonizarre, Comet or esp. the Feltzer had got on the track I was using (Laguna Seca Remake on PSN)
