Survival... Slackers

Have any you ran into this type of player??

Survival has been a mode i enjoy playing since it became available at around level 15 or 16

and even with gifted money i played it a lot

But since the gifted money has been taken away, I am running into more and more slackers just hanging out and not doing nothing or even trying to clear a wave

Last night i joined 3 games, each game was already being hosted by someone else......

I started noticing after about the 3rd round the other two players in the game stopped killing the bad guys.......they might get 2 or 3 kills at most then the msg that a player had died would pop up....both players would be dead before the round would really get started

The first game i stayed on point and cleared out the waves until wave 10 was completed......got the 20 grand payout and points

on the voting screen another survival map was selected by the three of us........ the same thing took place again

both of the other players were in the ranks of uppers 40s and 50s

after we reached round 10 that time i turned my mic on and just asked are you guys going to help out or not ..one of them must have heard me because he sent me a msg that read.......why should i use my ammo, i just want the money

I tried two other random games and found people doing this in both games

I for one am willing to help any low ranked player who has just started opening up the survival maps, or learning how to survive the waves,

It like damn dude, this has to be boring as hell watching someone else ..go play something else

Yeah had a guy join, sat idle for 4 rounds and then killed 3 people, sat idle for the next 6.

It was in the Sawmill so i didn't really have time to play with the menu and the other guy didn't vote to kick him, prick still got the money in the end :/

I have seen scumbags like those you describe in missions. I remeber when I played the mission High Priority Case, me and some other dudes took a chopper and offered him a trip to the top of the building, but he refused. When I died, I chosed to spectate him and the only thing he did was just cruising downtown.

Are you still getting that msg that appeared before 1.09 that a player is not contributing and can be kicked ............I haven't saw it pop up at all since 1.09

hell if nothing else they could take up a position and watch your back for ya,

and again i am not talking about low ranked players with no weapons or a small amount of ammo........I had higher rank players help carry me thru to the end, when i started and i remember how i hated those msgs that said low ammo LOL

Honestly i've never seen that message before.

Yeah high ranks were in mine, just chillin' and not helping out. The guy took 4 rounds to move from the spot he spawned in :p

Why enter it if you're not going to be near the controls? Grr.

I haven't had slackers, but I always seemed to be paired with idiots who run around in the open and get shot straight away. I'm not the best at survival (still yet to survive all ten rounds) but I do try and get decent cover and make and listen to call outs when I can.

When my friends and Crew are on and we play together I normally am normally the host........so maybe the msg is seen by the host only??

but it would read something like this if i was the one not contributing for example "Dlow has not contributed to the game in 1 min players can vote to remove them"

it would be located at the top of the Radar HUD where all other msgs appear

I and a buddy have completed round 10 on all of the maps, but we play smart and try to position ourselves to watch the others back

he is better than me at the game my highest round playing solo is completing round 9 and dying in round 10 .........he has completed round 10 solo on about all of the maps

one thing that will help you (playing solo) is Using the lower powered weapons like the Combat pistol as long as you can....this keeps the bad guys from bringing out the big guns as fast

My new rule is simple and it prevents getting your missions ruined more then once.

Lets take A titan of a job.

Mission starts, someone blows up the truck or Titan. Mission restarts, grab your PV and drive over the person that was ruining it earlyer. Kill him by driving over him untill all team lives are gone and make him spectate.

He learns his lesson and can see how to complete the mission without failtarding. And you no longer have to annoy yourself by his idiotic behaviour.

If people however start slacking in survival, i just make sure i also die and leave.

SuperDuperGta

I usually slack the first rounds because I try to stay in a relatively safe spot. Its towards the end when my team is wiped and I'm doing the round on my own that I come to worth

I did one using a combat pistol the other day, they bring out the big guns as normal regardless of what weapon you are using. Had to switch to the AP for rounds 7-10 though, or I would have got mutilated. First 4 rounds is one bullet one kill. Then after that it's up until round 7, 2-3 shots (no headshot). Then afterwards you will die using the combat pistol.

I've not come across slackers in Survival as yet, but I've found them in plenty of jobs - in particular car retrieval jobs for Simeon. In one particular job there were three cars to retrieve... I ended up getting all three. Pain in the ass, took forever!
