This is one of the most common bugs in GTA online and its been around for about a month or more. 2 patches have been released in the previous month and its still not fixed. This is f*cking pathetic and this is not even the first time something like this has happened. Makes me goddamn cringe

I just tried this on my PS3 and this did not work. I followed this instructions to a T, and it kept bringing me the car in slot one. No idea why, sometimes it would bring me the car i just destroyed and i would repeat. Also soon after i attempted with multiple cars in Moros mutual and a car that was (destroyed) was replaced with my slot one car. So i lost my beloved corquette, which was the first car i bought online, but also found a rather strange duplication glitch.

 

P.S. - the car that was duped was only sold for $10,000. as soon as i sold the car i realized i might have been able to dashboard to save my car. I will update if that worked.

I'm sorry this has not worked for you :-/ especially now considering you have also lost another car to it too :-(

 

It's all good, Ill prolly just do a single player to multiplayer glitch. Screw R* for taking my first car, im 130 levels higher than when i bought it..

I failed to get my lost car back using this, this time around and I think I know what's going on.

 

When I first used this method I had lost my slot 1 Entity and thank God it worked a treat.

 

This time around my missing car was from slot 4. I did the glitch and guess what my invisible mechanic brought me.... My slot 1 Entity.

 

I believe this only works for slot one losses. If you can prove me wrong, tell us all how.

I lost a car from slot 5 and one from slot 7 and it worked fine. Unfortunately I do not know exactly "how" this glitch works (as in the mechanic's behind it) just how to make it happen. Try a couple more times and see what happens in the only advice I can give you sir!

 

When you say it delivered your entity.... was it YOUR entity or a COPY of your entity?

My Entity & Cheetah both disappeared from my garage. I hadn't even taken them out, but I also noticed that sometimes when I take my car out it won't show up as my personal vehicle on the radar so anyone can take it if I leave it somewhere... pretty annoying when you die in a gunfight & your opponent steals what is YOUR car but you can't kick them out of it because the game isn't saying it's your car. Doesn't show up on my MMI list either.

I've NEVER lost any of the vehicles in my garage since Gtao launch. And that's cars jacked from peds as well.

 

Did you dupe/hack this or buy it with glitched/hacked money?

 

This whole thread is starting to sound like R* sneaky revenge against cheaters......

Ive never glitched once nor spent hacked money and this has happened to me 4 times thus far. So nope - Its not R* trying to get their own back but rather a bug in the system that makes people loose insurance on cars.

Just got back my Futo and it was in slot 1. Don't know how you guys figured this out but thanks a lot. It was my original car so it was cool to get back the same one. It just wouldn't be the same not having my day 1 car, and hooking up another to be like it. I guess I'm just being a little sentimental.

 

Again, thanks a lot, awesome help. Also I believe the car restored isn't a copy, rather it just brings your car back in it's most recent state, being uninsured, as is what makes this car losing glitch possible in the first place.

Damn. I just lost my insured Albany Alpha a few hours ago. I tried the insurance but it wasn't listed and then I tried the repairman but he didn't have it. I don't know what to do...If this is fubar than I might as well start raising money for it. I had this issue happen to me and its still a problem. I had my precious vapid dominater impounded (Y the f*ck cant there be a way to disable cops in a session) and got destroyed somehow. I tried the method in this thread like 10 times with a dinka akuma and a borrowed sentinel but everytime I use the request P.V in quick action, the vehicle i just destroyed is returned. Calling Mors to see if my Dominator got listed but it says operators r busy. I spent amost 200k modifying that car & testing new paintjobs. I'm really addicted 2 the game and almost average like 3 hours into this damn game and will be now taking a break until my support ticket is answered or find a new solution. I dont care if I could find a new Dominatt\or I just want mine back.

I lost my F620, method in the OP didn't work so ive written it off as lost forever. Im just praying it doesn't happen to my Cogno or Super Diamond, i love those cars and worked so hard to full upgrade them.

Trying this tonight, and will report back. I've played a ton of this, and haven't been affected until recently. Hopefully the glitch works.

 

I also logged a support ticket with R* but so far, I've received nothing promising back. Their ticket title basically removes all responsibility from them - no guarantee of a restore.
