Trillest
So, do you think heists should return in GTA VI? And if you say yes, do you want multiple heists or just one? I think it would be great if there was just one, so that Rockstar could focus all their attention on it instead of worrying about making other heists. What do you think? Fallcreek
Heists have been in almost every major GTA release since VC, so I don't see why not lol. I would love to see V's heist system come back in VI but more flushed out. I mean, don't get me wrong. The heists in V were amazing, but.. what ruined it for me is that I felt that I *had* to do the heists, save Mr. K because we say so, break into Humane Labatories because WE SAY SO, break into the IAA building because Steve f*cking Haines SAYS SO ..like, I mean c'mon! grumpy cat meme
More heists: I am perfectly fine with that. As long as they f*cking pay.
Klider
I'd love to see more heists in future GTA games, though I hope that they're a little less linear and structured than the ones in GTA V, Rockstar pretty much lied to us when they said that we'd be able to plan out the heists as we saw fit. I hope due to the lack of limitations on the next generation of consoles, that any future heists will be far more, free-form in nature, allowing us to choose when, where and what we'll rob, or at least allow us a little more flexibility rather than giving us the choice between Option A and Option B. Tyla
Yes. It doesn't matter to me if they are through the story or not (actually I'd prefer it if they were a sideline) but there have to be plenty and deliver a sense of progress. I want the criminal rating system from the older games to return and with them a whole host of criminal sidelines that unlock the greater your rating is: one being heists. You're a no name punk to start off with and tear up liquor stores and 24/7s. Higher you go, the bank, the casino, the museum etc become unlocked. And the amount of effort you put in dictates how well the heist is likely to go. Are you going to have a fence able to shift all that hot art? Are you going to be able to attract crew that aren't going to be dumb enough to spend their take on fast cars and broads and draw the feds onto your tail? Going to have enough control that they aren't going to try and have you over? That's pretty much how I'd love the heist dynamic to be -- and how it can also work even if the protagonist(s) aren't necessarily bank robbers for a living. NYC PATROL
I think they will definitely be back. I'm going to go on a limb and say maybe one heist will be mandatory via the story. Then if the player so chooses they can rob any number of banks, stores after the story. I think there should be at least a few ways to pull of a heist, or any robbery. The less structured it is the more replayability it will have. Edited January 19, 2014 by NYC PATROL Zello
Zello
I would like them back as long as they are not linear and more of a side activity only make them mandatory for a mission or two. We can set up an unlimited number of heists on banks, casinos, museums, etc. so after we beat the game we can still do them.
BLOOD
What i want GTA 6 should have from GTA 5 is 1.The Stock Market (but on next-gen it could be supported by Cloud) 2.The Flirt System and "Make it Rain" mini-game (i am sure that it would be that way in future GTAs) 3.GTA 5 is the first game in the Series that shows NPCs in buses, but it should be expanded so we could also take a bus ride just like how we can take a taxi ride and a Train. 4.Yes Heists should return but as mini-game. Omni_s-c_i-e_n-t
YES, they should. I think they are interesting additions to the game, and there can diffidently be expansions and additions onto these heists. That being said, I would rather them come out with an entire $60.00 game that focused on just online play. I want to be able to travel to San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City, and Los Santos all with my online character that I've put so much work into. Meekail
Yes they should be back. There should also be a feature in which you could pull out a heist on a store or on a bank anytime you want to instead of the story forcing you to.
Matty
The heists in V were amazing, but.. what ruined it for me is that I felt that I *had* to do the heists, save Mr. K because we say so, break into Humane Labatories because WE SAY SO, break into the IAA building because Steve f*cking Haines SAYS SO ..like, I mean c'mon! I agree with this - the heists in GTA V should have been more variable and unpredictable and left more in control of the player, as opposed to the the game practically babysitting you through the bulk of each heist; as well as the preparation missions. Also, yes, I hope that heists return in the next GTA as well; but as mentioned above, they should be more fleshed out, player controlled and open ended then they were in GTA V IMO. I also like the idea of being able to set up and pull off heists as a side activity (and being able to pull off the same heist again after so many ingame days) as well as having one or two mandatory heists throughout the storyline; which would be cool. matajuegos01
No. I mean it would be good to have one heist or two but not in the main storyline, I hope rockstar decides to make something else that implements the multiple choice aspect of V but not necessarily applied to heists. HOW'S ANNIE?
There should be at least one mandatory heist in the next GTA game, however I don't want the next one to be centred around them. However if Rockstar decide they want to do another heist themed GTA somewhere down the line it should be different to V. They should be for the benefit of the protagonist(s), as opposed to being mainly for someone else. They should also adopt a far more punishing approach if you screw up (e.g. You can lose the whole score if you make a mistake). matajuegos01
dunbrine47
I don't mind thier return, as long as what the player steals is not something that can't sell without the whole country on your ass. Just imagine all the planning, and then losing the whole score just because of a small mistake. It would be very frustrating. But yes, I do agree that there should be more punishment, but not to that extent.
Luddite
I hope so. I liked the picking of crew and approach. Want to meet the crew options tho. They should all be random characters or other npcs you encounter ingame.
universetwisters
If heists make a return, I just hope they're varied and unique. I wanna be able to rob a liquor store one day and stick up a train engine the next day.
Omnia sunt Communia
While heists have been a main staple of GTA games since Vice City, I think Heists (as they functioned in GTA V), shouldn't make a come back in GTA VI. I really enjoyed the Heist mechanic in GTA V but I think that is one of the things that made the game unique, just like the drug dealing minigame made Chinatown Wars unique. I'd like to see GTA VI focus on a different style of crime and give that the main focus of attention for a game. I'd enjoy seeing drug dealing given the same treatment Heists were given in GTA V. Imagine being able to run your own drug empire, employing runners and dealers and having to make large deals with Colombian drug lords and the IAA? AustinN
I really enjoyed the heists, and would like to play more. But I'm worried that if the next game does them like GTA V, it'll prevent the game from realizing it's own identity. I want every game in the series to distinguish itself. I say "like GTA V" because most of the games have a heist, but I loved selecting personnel and deciding different approaches to the heists. The previous games didn't have that diversity, as fun as they were.
Racecarlock
I think it should return as a repeatable side activity as well as a main mission type. And no, I don't mean exclusively for multiplayer. I want to be able to plan and execute heists in single player whenever I want. Like Payday 2.
