CaptainSpaceCat Posted January 18, 2014 Share Posted January 18, 2014 I think you're wrong about jumps but also justified because most races that feature them are shocking and seemingly randomly placed. Personally, I love making short lap tracks with jumps in but they're designed to create an aerial spectacle with people going in opposite directions if they're at different stages of the race. I have a custom fist only TDM that I run often, and this is true. My strength is maxed out now, and people seem to really enjoy just beating the crap out of each other - hearing people on mic is pretty funny. I seriously would love to figure out how to get people to try a well thought out and thoroughly tested race. I used to love to line-up DMs and races to make some cash and relax from freeroam, but now the queue is literally polluted with so much crappy content I pass most of my time doing this : join random DM/Race -> check if map is content created -> check if host is map creator -> leave anyway. Sometimes these hosts are sneaky and lock you in before you even get the chance to exit the map, but I'd rather get bad sport than pass the next 30 minutes lag punching people or driving the lolbus killing everyone onfoot (looking at you prison thugz, looking right at motherf*ckin' you) or going through a race map full of traps that the host put there to score himself some easy wins. Just give us an option to queue for Rockstar Only jobs, and I'll be satisfied. It's not that I hate the content creator (I secretly do), what I hate is that it's the majority of what I'm getting when I queue up. And please, before someone shows up and says "just host dude", I have tried....so many times. But hosting when you are lvl120+ is a frigging pain, the matchmaker either bugs out and will never invite anyone OR it will take about half an hour of people constantly joining and leaving until it works...and as fate would have it, you'll disconnect due to a network issue the second the session starts to load. The amount of times I'll be running and my character will suddenly stop, start reacting to punches and die and there's no way to react because I can't even see them. Deathmatches: - no more fist fighting - place the damn spawn points right - NO TANKS! either that or one tank per spawn point - place some goddamn weapons right. that is all.
