Why do we have to keep tapping X to run? It drives me crazy.

Do you agree it should be like GTA IV whereby you can simply hold X to run?

You Are All V1rgins

This is the one thing about gta that has never changed.

And I don't care if it does.

My A button is more worn on my controller than any other button though

I'm glad you said "on my controller." ;)

But you didn't hold X or A (Xbox) to run in GTA IV? Holding X or A would make your character jog and tapping X or A would make them sprint, just as the case with GTA V.

He means in online. Holding A/X would sprint, there's no jogging in IV's online, I think.

There is jogging in IV's online. Holding X or A would make your character jog. Tapping X or A would than make them run. The same thing is used in GTA V.

I would prefer sprinting by holding x, jogging by moving the stick all the way and walking by slightly moving the stick. But the way it is now isn't too bad, just kinda sucks when you have to run long distances or want to shoot while running, however inaccurate that may be.

In IV's online, you automatically run when you move the stick in any direction. When you held A/X, you began sprinting.

Not the case in this game.

I can' t believe people would actually rather have to constantly tap a button instead of just holding it

There was no jogging in 4s M.P Holding or tapping did the same things.

No, but given the choice of the two wouldn't most people choose the easier option?

I really think it was ridiculous how you always jogged around just by holding down the stick. I just like to walk normally in GTA IV online and if I want to, I need to be careful not the push the stick too hard. I f*cking hate that. And about tapping the button to sprint - This is a good thing. When you are stressed or having an adrenaline (like when you get hunted by a tank), I think tapping the button rapidly makes you chill down a little
