Why do people create maps with deceiving titles?

Just went to a deathmatch which had the title of: "$100,000,000 DEATHMATCH!" and the description was: "if you win you got $100,000,000, if you lose you get 500k!" I knew it wasn't legit but i stayed in the lobby just to play. Our team won and sure enough I only got 12k. Why do people do this?

Im more concerned about playing more player made content. Is there a way? The onnly player made races i get are the dumb ones like the one with ramps on the highway that was probably made in about 5 minutes lol

This has been a thing since custom maps were a thing. Halo 3? "GET ALL ACHIEVEMENTS AND MAX RANK" and it's just like team slayer where one team spawns with all rockets and the other gets only pistols.

The misleading titles are annoying, there is one thing i find more annoying is when morons put tanks in a death match on a map where the player on foot has no sporting chance.

Does anyone know how you put an entrance fee on a race?

 

i got an invite to a race yesterday but it said i couldn't join because i didn't have 10,000 cash on me.and by the time i got the cash out it was gone.

 

but ive never seen another like it again and i can't seem to find any information about it either

My guess is because they want plays.

 

I remember my first race was called "Firstie" and my description was "This race sucks". Ppl must have agreed because it's my lowest rated race.

 

I also have an air race that I call "Not Fun". I put in the description that "It's just like Top Fun". It's been like a month and it has zero plays...

General rule of thumb regarding creator games: If it it looks like the title and description where conceived of, and written in 10 seconds? Avoid that sh*t like the plague.

Because those creators are dumb children who deceive the dumb. Honestly, I wish there was a measure R* would use to delete garbage maps, but that would hinder creativity at the same time so the idea is moot.

I'm more curious about whether or not titles and descriptions like that actually get more players than well thought out ones, and I have a feeling with the game's latest influx of Christmas kiddies on PS3 which mostly seem to be < 16 and the simpletons in general I think it would. Either way, I've noticed it's definitely been easier to get deathmatches started since the cash sweep. I just think it's lame that the only way people can think of promoting their content is with using titles and descriptions like that, especially when it's total bullsh*t and just baiting players to join. Fortunately there's a report job function and plenty of dislikes will hopefully keep Rockstar from verifying the really sh*tty stuff, right guys? Right?

 

I just throw an invite out there and say "good cash and RP" once on my mic and let whoever wants to join do it and it's been working just fine. Lobby hop after it's done or if no one joins and just use "invite all from last job" along with all from current lobby and you can get a lot of people playing one match; getting 9 strangers to play a user-created content on free aim was something I didn't expect, and plenty of other large matches last night as well.

 

A lot of people aren't willing to put any real effort into promoting their content, have no imagination when it comes to coming up with a name and/or description, some are just plain bad with the creator, and I swear some people who make them have simply never played deathmatch before, including their own. I'm not saying you have to be good at deathmatch to make a good one, you just need to put time and effort into your creation and actually f*cking care that other people will enjoy what you're making.
