Flashing Players You Cant Kill

Since the maintenance I've noticed a bunch of players using this glitch where they are flashing in and out. First, in a deathmatch where he completely dominated. Then, in free roam this guy hunts my crew down and kills us, the only way to kill him was with melee weapons, punching, or the good ol car running over.

 

Anyway, dont know why guys are so aggressive in this game when they are glitching. Look at me I can kill you but you cant shoot me!

its been happening BEFORE it too, i even heard some idiots talking about it

got a tank and managed to kill them with 2 shots each, one to break the invincibility frames and another just to kill em

It flashes for a couple of seconds when the player spawns. I can't tell you how many times I've been killed by this glitch, It rustles my jimmies when this sh*t happens and to add to that, they spawn like 2-3 ft away (mostly behind me)

God mode. Only way to kill em is explosives since you can't get close.

I had one in a car (pretty sure a Coquette) by LSC last night and tried to get him. Of course, nothing. Then decided to toss a sticky at the flashing car and I heard that "thunk". They drove away and a few blocks later - blam. I don't think I've ever had a player appear so ticked at me - they were PISSED.

 

I don't know what they were so mad about. I paid insurance and got warning.

I use the glitch to kill people who try to run me over when I'm in passive mode.

I clicked on this thread fully expecting Rockstar had given us the ability to flash other players. One can dream, I suppose.

This wasnt a couple seconds, these players were flashing or blinking in and out for minutes on end

Just dealt with this, twice, for the first time about ten minutes ago.

Femaie character standing in the middle of a 4-way intersection. I drove straight at her and she blipped out, only to reappear right behind me, shooting.
I reacted quickly and rolled over her and parked on her til she died. I took off for my apt. right after!

Then, right up the street, two players just standing on the side of the road. One shot me and killed me. I respawned, and the second one was just walking away. I could see his blue sweater (that's how I knew it was him), but there was no name above his head. I shot him and nothing happened.

When I chased after him, he disappeared, his name flashed, and *poof* he was gone. The other player, who shot me, went off in another direction.

Very weird and a bit unsettling.

I must have been lucky because I only came across that glitch a couple of nights ago. These 2 kids that I was deathmatching with suddenly were in a car that was flashing and there was nothing I could do to damage them or explode the car. They giggled then spawned raped me for a couple of deaths while still in that state.

 

Another kid that was apparently afk took me about 10 or so headshots to kill. Weird sh*t.

I dont usually report dudes, even the god mode you could roll them over, but if I see another I will cause its just lame.

Switching to story mode characters, but pressing B instead of going into story mode, that gives you a couple of seconds of invincibility, thats why you see them flashing like they're respawning

I ran into some tool doing this on a melee deathmatch. I really hope Rockstar jumps on this soon.

Sometimes the reticle just won't lock on to a player. Anybody had this happen before?

Switching to story mode characters, but pressing B instead of going into story mode, that gives you a couple of seconds of invincibility, thats why you see them flashing like they're respawning

Is that the trick? Last night, I was trying to trade kills with an asshole who was doing this. He kept flashing for 10 to 20 seconds, I could not lock on, and he just walked up to me (although he stopped a few times, perhaps to renew the trick) and blasted me.

 

Why play the game fair? What a drag that is!

do the jerk motion while holding a golf club. if only you could do it in passive mode to piss off the twankers.

Yeah, I saw this the other night, too...

 

Thought it was due to him having a bad internet connection or something. He was in the same lobby as I was for at least half an hour... Anytime I was close to him, he was flashing, like he had just respawned.

 

Hit him with a full clip of my assault shotgun at point blank range... Nothing.

 

Only way I killed him was with a melee attack, when I got close enough to actually do one.

Just came across one then, hitting them/bombing them/parking on them did not work.

Had another one just now, sticky bombed me as I was just sitting in my car looking for a race on the map. I put a bounty on him so I could keep track of him, caught up and found a number of people trying to take him out. His whole car (a pink supercar piece of sh*t) was flashing and his position would suddenly jump. No aiming lock, and uncounted bullets had no effect, even spraying them all around his flashing car image. He kept trying to run me over and eventually stickied me, but he stayed around and I finally managed to shoot him through the windshield. Then someone else immediately got him when he respawned.

 

I am wondering what goes on in their little heads.

f*cking losers that do this. I got killed by some invisible c*nt yesterday. Figured out who it was, dusted my tank off and spawnkilled the sh*t out of him. Haven't seen these flashing idiots yet luckily.

As someone has already said, it's just a lame ass trick of spamming the character wheel. Something else that needs patching and in the meantime, best thing to do is just avoid/report/votekick.

Yup but they have to keep doing it, that's why they dont move that much, so just wait it out i guess

yep i faced a infinite respawer like 1 hour before the purge...

 

its a nice trick, i believe thats how we should see a person in passive mode.

 

the thing is that the player can still play and kill you while doing this, which is not cool.
