Are people losing interest?

The past two days I've noticed many people on my friend list playing other games. Out of the 80 people online yesterday, only like 15 were playing gta and just two weeks ago there were about 55 on my friend list who were playing. Is it just me or are people leaving?

Yep. Everyone on my friends list is back to Battlefield (including me) and a couple have started playing minecraft. I know I've gotten my $60 worth out of this game and I have all the cars and guns i want so the motivation's just not there anymore.

Maybe the loss of money is causing a mass depression. Lol

But yeahh, I can see why people are leaving.
-Heists are still unavailable.
-People see online as a grind.

-Online hasn't really changed for the better good. Just patches and updates... minus Beach Bum and Christmas.
-Creator Content isn't that great. I'd want to promote mine, but I'm not in the mood. Lol
-Repetitive at times.

I'm still having fun with Online. Hell, I just switched to Free-aim, and it's such a breath of fresh air.

Kind of. I was never gifted any money (didn't want it) and I think the main reason I'm still playing now is because I want to buy the stuff I want. I think if I had everything I want today, I'd probably mess around with free mode and death matches for a week and then get bored with it. I'm hoping the way I'm doing it now will have me mildly interested until heists are released, but really they will have to be released within one or two months or I'm probably done forever.

Not trying to complain at all here. Not leaving the game either. I just find myself kinda bored now that I have no money to really spend.

I used to help new players get a fully upgraded starter car in lobbies. Or call in a helicopter for em if they need a fast travel. Things like that. I don't usually go on tank rampages or anything.

When I do get in my tank it's usually for Peacekeeping purposes.

I miss my money though, I had more fun with it to be honest.

I only see battlefield, Cod or minecraft being played now.

So I guess its not just me whose noticed. I feel like moving on too but I have to play heists before I leave.

From the movie "Too Little, Too Late", the heists are still not it, which was a major selling point for me. All the missions are done and superdone. This game has nothing new for me anymore and the general handling by Rockstar feels like a slap in the face.

 

Time to go watch the "Battlefield, mon amour" movie, now.

 

[EDIT] I still have 4.2 mils in the newest patch, so money is not an issue.

I havent been playing online much, The day after the money loss was the 1st time i went online in about 2 weeks and all i wanted to see was how much they left me. Ive actually been mopping up some side missions in single player and am enjoying that alot more.

Not for me, 40 people or so on my friend list play GTA O everyday depending on the time, mostly night since everyone's free from work or school

Im still enjoying it, the main thing that gets annoying/tedious is people that just try to kill you instantly for no reason.

Yes, you've got a gun, yes it shoots. We all know that anyway.

 

Its a rare and refreshing thing when someone just goes past with a toot of the horn and leaves you to whatever you were doing.

I never shoot anyone for no reason, whats the point?!

Someone going off to play another game isn't an inherent sign that they've lost interest in GTA.

 

Personally I regularly take breaks from it to play other games. That's how I keep the interest long term instead of burning out.

I'm losing interest as the days go on.

 

Being very few missions are actually fun to play and the common disconnects it becoming 75% loading time 25% playing time. It's so annoying. If it wasn't like that maybe I'd keep interested longer.

Most them left before this started happening and they only came back to see if they were effected by the purge.

Too much nerfing by R* and the unexplained removal of the Ratloader was the final nail in the coffin for me

Yeah its probably the money. I'm not too bothered myself, I'll still play, but I have to be honest I didn't actually expect them to remove it. There have been so so SO many other cash glitches that 99% of regular players already had the top end apartments and cars, so why remove cash that is purely spent on enjoying the game?

The online is crazy fun. Be aware that is has no assisted aim, however, and most of the game you spend creeping around crouched. VERY slow paced game, but pretty fun.

I still have 4.2 mils, having a full garage on my main + Buzzard.
