Define camping. Hopefully this does not mean hiding while someone else does all the work.

I think it means holding a position instead of running & gunning. If someone does nothing for a while, all players are reminded that they can kick the player in question.

People bitch about this whole run instead of camping in survivals, but is the main goal to be a showoff and die which means the camper has to pick up the slack, or do what the name implies?

I would love to see videos of the great survival Rambos out there, after about round 3 or 4 it's almost impossible to Rambo a survival in my experience. If u don't camp somewhere, ur as good as dead. But maybe I'm wrong.

Nobody Rambos it to the end, unless they're using God mode, which I have seen happen. But you do have to find a balance sometimes, maps like Del Perro and Sawmill just take forever if you properly camp in one place the whole time and don't take risks

Some stages don't have a good hiding spot. Those are Railyard and Processed.

Del Perro one is also annoying.

Del Perro is easy with the 2 soda machines. Also keep an eye in the radar map ever now and then DONT you know?

Yeah? Well I looked at the radar map definitely. It's all about the ambush and the spawn point, Mr. Smarty.

Exactly, you need someone to draw enemies out into crossfire at times. However I've never seen someone last more than a couple of minutes in the later rounds if they play run and gun exclusively.

Processed -> Last shed up top, run to end of shed and get in bin

Railyard -> Hide behind blue shipping container near double gates, run inside shed and get in railcart if you need cover

Pier -> As said, near soda machines. I hide against the bin and run inside that bathroom for cover.

Sorry, not Processed then. What's the name of the one in the hill? The place where we need to save Lamar?

Am I the only one who finds it hilarious when near wave 8 - 10. The Hillbillies, Police, and whatever else start spawning with Mini-Guns?

Can't take a fat Hillbilly with a mini-gun seriously. xD

For Sawmill you use the elevated chute that goes around the mainside of the building and leads into the interior you can use this to move about the map and stay in cover. On the later levels and when the choppers come in, the chute leads into a very secure indoor area where you can eat snacks and camp it out lol

Come on, I find a perfect place to camp and boom this asshat hillbilly fat whale spawnkills me with one shot...

That's not fun...

It happens less if the team stays in one spot. If you're all over the map then they will spawn much more randomly

Can't have been the perfect place then.

I'm assuming this is the Boneyard survival? Easiest one there is. All you need is 2 people at either end ont he grey portacabin. Easiest £20k you'll make in this game.

For railyard I hide behind some crates at the back of the shed with the flat-bed rail carridge in it. Just keep your eye on the radar and hope at least 1 of you team-mates survives or else it can get a bit tricky.

Processed is also easy. There is a shed that has an open ended dumpester that you can hide in and take minimal damage. I think it is the shed to your right as you spawn at the very start. I've been the last one standing in some waves where team-mates have died early on. This position kind of funnels the enemies so they become easy prey.

Del Perro is a pain and I have yet to reach and survive wave 10. I thought I had found the perfect spot in one of the stalls and was creating an almighty pile of dead bikers but the others in the team ruined it by changing their hiding places so most the enemies came from the direction I didn't want them coming from.

Spawnkill implies that he killed you as soon as you spawned, you are using the term incorrectly.

He killed me when HE spawned.

Spawn+Kill=Spawnkill.

That ain't a spawn kill. If we were on a mission together and I was to shoot you as soon as we re-spawned in freeroam after the mission, that would be a spawn kill. Having an enemy spawn next to you is just bad luck or poor positioning.

Camping ??? the whole time i thought it was called " using cover " In a game where players and NPC's have Auto Aim running around like Rambo can only get you gunned down.

No way you can survive 10 waves going all out offense. From the 4th wave you have to play defense.

A little on topic and off topic, but as for the title of the thread, well, if you can't handle Survival, I don't know what to say.

I'm not a great player, by any means, but I've done just about all the Survival locations (I think) alone after people have quit, left, or what have you.

Camping is not how you win the game. Strategy, intuition, and prediction are your best allies, not a good spot to hide.

That said, my biggest pet peeve is when you have a good spot to work from (not camp), and another player comes and parks themselves there, knowing you've been there for several waves. They're miffed that you're getting the kills and they aren't, so they try to take the spot from you.

What do you do? They're presence makes it hard to shoot properly and for me, I always end up "wasted" because my timing and accuracy are thrown off by the toolbag moving into my zone.

I sent a message to one guy, so he just quit. ugh. My solution has been to stand there and use the "Jerk" motion and get in his way, but I always end up "wasted" doing that.

Thoughts? Sorry - didn't mean to hijax the thread. Just asking is all. Cheer! ;)

Damn I thought this was going to be good you know like some real actual thing to really start a thread about...I remember the time I played survival got to Wave 10 and had one guy left and a helicopter...full ammo and health and I go kill the one guy left and I hide behind a dumpster and the helicopter is shooting at me but can't hit me...but then a miracle bullet flies in and kills me. One shot!! I survived 9 waves and....you get my point.

Agreed, some guys just do that to get on ur nerves I think. If your doing work from a spot, be cool and find another one. Don't be an a**, while I'm a trying to make you 20 G's!

Happened to me today at the boneyard. I managed to flip the bin in the red house at just the perfect angle, and was drilling waves after waves. Then the noobs tried to hog my spot and steal it from me.

They failed and died, so one little f*cker threw a c4 at the bin after he respawned and messed it all up, lol.

I wish I could say I survived the mission nonetheless, but I didn't xD. Little f*ckers threw me off my game, and I died like a noob trying to rush to my other spot to get away from them at wave 9.

Oh well, you can't win them all hehe.

So the first thing you do....STRAIGHT ONTO THE FORUMS TO BITCH ABOUT IT

idk why but for some reason you bug the hell out of me, all you do is whine about other people whining.

The radar helps a lot, they don't exactly shoot the exact moment they spawn so if you see a little red dot next to you just kill it quickly. The hardest part is when they are almost completely hidden and you are only able to shoot their arm, if you know how to free aim just shoot at his arm rather than wait for them to come out.

Del Perro one is also annoying.

If you're set on camping the bathrooms at the end of the pier is good for one person and two people can easily win the pier without having to leave the alley with the dumpsters. But playing Rambo on the pier is definitely my favorite.

Also,

Rambo that sh*t.

This

Hopefully this does not mean hiding while someone else does all the work.

And this

For the record, I'm not saying go guns blazing all 10 waves, but if every player is camping in the same spot all 10 waves it's lame and boring in my opinion and will make the survival take a lot longer than it needs to. Not camping doesn't mean standing out in the open making yourself completely vulnerable, it just means not stuffing yourself in a bin or behind a wall for 30 minutes. Some of the maps are insanely difficult without having to stay behind cover the majority of the time, but some are easy enough without having to and you can cut the time in half if people are running around killing instead of waiting for the waves to come to them. If everyone else is camping, that's cool, and you should stick around if that's how you play - but if you're the only one camping and everyone else is doing the work (you're only a kill or two per wave and everyone else is cleaning house) I think it's time for you to move around a little. No one likes a leech.

Really f*ck survival! Especially since you can not keep the weapons after you've won now. Keep taking Cockstar..... bet things will get really worse.

If there was an option to only use picked up guns id probably do it more, I just use up to much ammo to make it cost effective compared to races
