how well do you think the 360 and ps3 would handle crowds of NPC's?

 

when flying over the map it feels a shame that large stadiums are always empty. an online mission where theres a rock concert going on or a football game would be cool but could the console manage that many people in one place?

Well, it would cause severe frame rate drop at least on PS3/X360. I guess it could be done on PS4/Xbox One, but not PS3/Xbox 360. Just my opinion.

The current gen consoles could handle a medium sized crows, but not as big as a stadium full of people

I`ve got lags sometimes when driving with fast speed, loosing textures etc already so NO, if R* would add NPCs or animal that would only slow down the game to unplayable slideshow

Hey, it's better than nothing but I agree, it would be really leggy if NPCs were increased but mine runs incredibly smooth when playing online even when driving at a high speed along the city, it only lags abit in SP because there's more cars and pedestrians around

If there were actual games happening in the stadiums with full crowds that would be insane. But there is just no way, If the game was made for really expensive PC's then it might work but how many people own a ten grand PC? they wouldnt even turn a profit on such a game.

Biggest group of NPCs I've seen was maybe 8 to 10 PEDs hanging out in front of a club or theater.

An ooold Rockstar game touched on that riot/crowd element in the past...

The xbox and ps3 already have trouble rendering buildings past 100 yards. i doubt they could handle something like that without everyone crashing.

It is extremely odd feeling to have multiple big stadiums and horse races and theatres only to have literally nobody at them. The theatre has few every once in a while though.

If GTA Online had a fully (or near enough) destructible environment, everything would be reduced to rubble within a few hours.

 

Nice idea in theory, poor one in execution.
