how often do you have to restart the game?

i thought with updates the freezing issue would happen less but im still restarting multiple times a day. usually freezes on "launching mission" screen or the text info screens between missions. the only way to play again is quit and relaunch game

Had to a few hours ago after getting to the point of starting a TDM when the team screen was completed. Usually once every 2 days.

Once every 3 days.

 

 

I actually know when the freeze is going to happen, all the textures go low res and the radio stations go silent..... 10 seconds later BOOM freeze.

 

Only happens once in a while though

I had it once last night while playing I-O with a crew member. Was just driving down the street and it completely froze on us both

ahhh man, im having to restart my game at least twice a day! even in the few minutes since posting this thread iv gotta do it again. annoying that the game doesnt actually crash (music continues and loading circle spins) but i can leave it hours with no progress!

Not freezing, but in story mode trying to launch an auto save, it has been getting stuck more frequently.

Mine never freezes but it just gets stuck on the launching session/mission(the loading circle gets stuck on loop) so I just go offline then online again instead of restarting the entire console.

Only once. Was afk in FM yesterday. Just as I came back I saw a guy throwing a grenade after me only to have the game freeze when the grenade was mid air.

Yes, that's one of the advantages of having the ps3 masterace! I've been doing this for a long time. It's really comes in handy when games get stuck loading online.

i've only had a freeze a few times, but more often i get a sound problem. it sounds like a cd is skipping. the only way to fix it is to quit the game and restart. it happens about twice a month.

 

FWIW, my disc is in perfect shape.

I used to do this, not sure what made me start turning it off at the console now that i think about it.

Clearing system cache seems to work for me. Barely freeze after that~

i have to restart console like once a day...

 

the games freezes when you switch session 4-5 times, the image would freeze on the top-down view of my apartment and the endless sound of the shower.

I never have to restart because I do this when I am stuck on a loading screen;

 

Press Xbox guide button,

Go to Friends,

Go to recently met players,

Chose one who is still online,

select 'Join session in Progress',

 

For every loading screen I get stuck in (Stuck in skycam, Launching Sessions etc) doing this stops the infinate loading at makes it go back to either the single player, or free roam.

On PS3, she locked up reeeeal good so that option is never there for me (using menus and whatnot).
