destroyed car but no insurance option!?

hi. my car was destroyed and when i see the mechanics list is says "destroyed" but when i call the insurance bums its engaged and noone evry answers! the car was defo insured...is there any way to get it back or have i lost it? the only thing i can think of is buying something to take its place in the garage.

I replaced mine after waiting 5 days for a miracle, others have had them come back..

Yep, that's what's happening folks. If you don't check that your lame PV's are insured, you're going to lose them. Seems like another glitch which is aimed at flushing out noobs. I have never had a problem with this glitch. I think Rockstar put it in so that noobs would get sick of having to buy an entirely new car and just quit, because they are crap at the game. So if you're experiencing this glitch, just leave now, save yourself the humility.

Before this hotfix, any car on Slot 1 of your garage had the insurance removed.

 

Meaning you had to go back and purchase insurance again or else lose the car entirely. Think Slot 1 is pretty much f'ed up.

I had a different problem. After servers went back online, I logged in and drive out of my garage with my lovely Surfer to find out tank straight in front of me. After I respawned it appeared that I have to pay to get my Surfer back from MMI. Although he blew the car, I had to pay insurance...

 

And with 490k left it well pissed me off

I HAVE A POTENTIAL SOLUTION FOR YOU.... I had the SAME thing happen to me. It started randomly and occurred 4 times over a 2-3 week period. Often you will notice that the car "destroyed" was never even removed from your garage- so there is not real rhyme or reason to it. (NOTE- that I lost my Tailgater once and Sentinel convertible 3 times!) Have fun hunting down THOSE again for no reason!

 

Anyway, I noticed one change in the game from when this started until now (it's been a solid 10-12 days without any issue).... Early on I had saved up my hard earned money (pre-bounty exploit) and made the decision to go with Weasel Plaza because it had the highest apartment number and therefor I assume the best view, plus I liked the building and driveway. Well for months EVERY nutsac that came across 400k bought the Eclipse towers which always led to an overflow of players and battles occurring at its front doors. About a month or so ago I started to notice a dramatically increased population at Weasel, players may have FINALLY realized that there's nothing good nor impressive about living at Eclipse.... I think this fluctuation has attributed to the garages inside garages glitches and cars disappearing. So I moved to Integrity Way (where nobody seems to live haha) and I have had no issues.... I might be wrong, I might be right, but it helped me so hopefully it can help you.

Tanks are f*cked up, It happened to me in my infernus when a tank was waiting outside the apartment.

 

Anyway, on topic I lost my Bati 801 fully upgraded, same as OP. It was on slot 1 so be careful.

Must add that after I respawned, went off radar, sneaked to the tank and pulled the f*cker out of it. Spawn killed him few times and felt better

Insurance seems f*cked, lately. Had that happen to me, and some of my friends. Right now, when I start playing, I always go into the garage first and check all the insurances first, just pressing down on the D-Pad and checking the cars. Takes like 20 seconds tops. It seems to have been fixed, but I'm not sure. At first I had cars randomly losing insurance. Now it seems to be fine.

before turning off the game i ALWAYS make sure all my cars are in the garage. when i play again i go to my garage, check the insurance in all my cars, drive out either with the entity or the stinger gt, the moment i leave the garage a message pop up "your impounded car have been destroyed, call mors" go back to my garage to find my sandking that is on slot 1, GONE.

 

its being doind this EVERYTIME i log into gtao since the manteinance. the sandking was the car i was driving the moment i got kicked from the server when manteinance began, i dont know if that have something to do with that.

Yeah i had this same issue with my Declasse Asea a few weeks ago. I was pretty pissed off because that's not a car you can easily get from the streets and modify to look the same.

 

I just decided to wait and after the maintenance i went back online and found out that my Asea was back.

It was standing there in my garage untouched, just the way it was before i lost it. Only thing that had changed was that it had no insurance but luckily i noticed it before i went out to destroy it again.

 

So i guess it may be possible to get your car back just by waiting, but i don't know how long it'll take and not even sure if it works every time..

It happened to my adder and entity today. They can work bugs out that piss them off, but not us. First I had an entity go missing in Oct sent a complaint ticket, got a response 3 weeks later, then they gave me the price of the car minus the fact it was fully modded. So they ripped me off 250k. Also it took 6 weeks for them to do this, and their final response said there's no way they can prove I had that car. They obviously didn't look at the screen shots I sent them. Or they like pissing off their customers. Now two cars that total 2.5 mil after mods. .. seriously! Wow rockstar.
