LOL THIS HAPPENED TO ME TODAY

 

I have NEVER done anyone these HPV jobs before, and haven't paid any attention to them because I've had enough money to survive. But, today went crazy and blew up a crew's PV's and got in a big fight and I was poor and decided to do the HPV because I was broke and as soon as I got the notification I looked on the Mini-Map to see at least 7 people driving in the direction. Craziest sh*t I have ever experienced in GTAO

 

How long have you been playing? Surely you've at least randomly stolen a vehicle that was the HPV.. at least once!?

Put a sticky bomb in a really obvious place, like the windshield or roof. See how many people fight over it then.

If I get the car, I'm putting a sticky on it and if I'm not getting it no one is getting it. People have chased after me, I slam on the brakes, they hit the back of the car and boom. I haven't encountered many people at all waiting at the garage, but noticed one waiting for me. He was surprised when I drove right at him and the car went up like 4th of July.

 

Oh, the one mean thing I have done lately is put a bounty on someone who takes the high priority vehicle. Makes for good TV.

I've been playing for about 3 months, lol. I've stolen a car that simeon asked for but never did the HPV that's highlighted in green

The whole point of HPV is to create something for players to fight over. It's the same concept as the crates.

I think you can deliver a car with a sticky. Put one, go to passive. If anyone bothers with you, get out of the car and run. Then blow it up.

Saw a douche kill the guy and blow the car up today....didn't really read his name in time as I was busy at the time, but I wanted to find the little doucheknocker who did that and kill his ass about 100 times. Okay, if you want to kill the guy who retrieved it so you can deliver it, fine...that's kinda the name of the game...but blowing it up just so no one can deliver it?? That's just plain chicken-sh*t. The guy who blew it up was a 20-something rank, too...so the guy was obviously just trolling. Makes me quite mad to see sh*t like that.

Fast traveling the the TDM right beside the export bay is so freakin easy ambushing the hpv becomes a wait for the guy to respray it then I fast travel and beat him there in factions of a second. Off the radar and the hpv is mine. Thanks for the 10 k sucka

You want the HPV without a fight? Play invite only with friends or clan members and then you don't have to worry about randoms spamming the car. It will appear if you have at least one other person in the session with you (it will not appear if you are in the session by yourself).

A month or so back, when I bothered with HPVs, I took one from near the top of the map, took it to LSC and made my way to Simeon's garage, a 5 min drive, only to be killed by a lame camper outside. He drove round the block hoping to evade me and deliver it, but I managed to kill him and get it back. We did this in turns, one killing the other for like ten mins, until I had enough, strapped a sticky to it and left it for him. He took it and I blew him just as he was going to claim the money.

 

I don't even bother with HPVs anymore. Not worth the sh*t pay or losing the car from chicken sh*t camper. Instead, if I see a low level player taking a HPV to Simeon's place, I'll escort them there. It's great fun to see a chicken sh*t camper run from a level 140 in an Entity it really is.

HPV? solo/private only, just like every other free-mode activity you'd do for building the bank.

 

The pay is always double LSC prices, and it's off the LSC timer, so there's no reason NOT to do it.. unless you're playing public for some reason.

Ah, but you weren't "minding your own business", OP - you were going after the HPV, which is everyone's business.

 

Seriously, tho, the HPV is a flat-out PvP enabler - R* did it this way on purpose. I think that delivering the HPV in a public session should pay out double - not only will that up the incentive people to go after it, it'll feel like it was worth the hassle to bring it in.

I do it anytime I can. It's cat and mouse. If you've got the HPV, you better be on your sh*t cause im either chasing you til you get there, or waiting for you there. It makes it more fun if you ask me. If I'm delivering the HPV, I would rather a stake out or to be chased.

Yea i did that once, some guy in a entity chased after me, i decided if i cant get it to simeons then might as well no one can get it. I lose the guy in the entity, parked, go off radar then sticky the hpv. When the guy comes, i blow it up, killing him and destroying his entity lol

Some asshole today followed me accross HALF THE MAP today after I got the Simeon vehicle...When he finally killed me and got the car, guess what he did. He drove it purposely into the ocean. Trolls like this ruin the game

Yeah, makes it sound like an STD. A player that gets it should yell into the mic "Hey, I've got HPV!", and everybody on the map goes the opposite way. "No man, we don't want to catch that, why don't you take your car and keep going."
