I literally mind my own buisness to go get the high priority vehicle. I manage to escape a crowd and head over to simeon. All the suden I see an orange sentinel parked sideways against the garage door to deliver the vehicle, a major shootout took place, My profit was $-790... (Paintjob for vehicle). Are people seriously this desperate for money now?

EDIT: Now that I have my platinum Exporter award, I only go for the vehicle if I'm in a less-than-full server and notice that no one else is going for it.

through my experience, going for the high priority vehicle always turns into me getting chased by desperate nerds, or someone grabbing a tank and trying to shoot me.

I know how you feel...This happened to me a while ago.. before all the hacking happened, but still it's very irritating after you take all those steps to get to the docks...i'm trying to Rank up and Stack my money (started new character) and it's impossible. I suppose i'm inpatient.

Even back then, it's a no holds barred match for the HPV. It's easy cash. Whoever delivers it gets rich.

 

I think you can deliver a car with a sticky. Put one, go to passive. If anyone bothers with you, get out of the car and run. Then blow it up.

No, it's part of the game. R* added the feature to be able to bring cars to that garage in free roam to give some thing for players to battle out over. Stop crying.... it's because of people like you that R* put a bad sport feature in the game.

It's because we all know how much of a pain in the ass is to do those missions, especially having to get it re painted.

 

-Knowing what the player has gone through is a big part of griefing process.

 

You can literally feel the persons anguish, as you yourself have felt it before.

Screw running away and detonating, I cook up a grenade and try for the full on Jihadicide.

 

Simeon Car stuff is a lot of fun, unless you're the one who stole it, repainted it, drove it only to have it stolen/destroyed as you're about to pull in to get your money.

 

This teaches awareness and caution!

There's probably literally 5 million kids in GTA0 with no ability to buy a cash card or to ever convince their parents to do so. They are desperate feral children -- with SMGs and sticky bombs. They have nothing to lose, and they learn all the latest, dirtiest tricks from their peers. Welcome to the new world. :/

 

We can all just be lucky that, for the moment, it's just virtual. :p

Something that I found works: if you notice someone following you, go real fast, then suddenly stop and get out, gun in hand....that should give you a quick second or two to fire on the guy chasing you down. If you're lucky, he stops too and you can gun him down and continue on your merry way. If not, I hope you have a sticky bomb attached to the car....

I used to go off radar then wait a block a way from the HPV in my fully modded unmarked cruiser for someone to steal it. As soon as they took it I'd light the cherries and give chase, telling them on the mic that this was the LSPD and to pull over. Such fun pretending it was a bait car.

For the record, I use a Buzzard to go after those people ... and I get them every time. :-)

did that today...

 

someone got the car and was chased down and killed for it, so I put a sticky in front on Simeon's garage door, went off radar when I saw the murderer coming down the long stretch...

 

BOOM! +1 spawn kill later, I drove off laughing at him.

Yes, I have successfully used this tactic; it's one of the few I have learned that works. About 75% of the time, it's somebody coming at me to run me down, shoot me, or throw the sticky bomb. The good old trusty AP Pistol takes them out through the windshield - ha, they weren't expecting that. The other 25% of the time, it's just some poor noob who wants to hang with somebody. He gets it, too. How was I to know? Another tragedy of GTA0.

 

This is what we've come to. I've been killed while trying to trust someone, too many times. You know, I just don't have the strength of character to take a chance on the innocents any more. Now I'm shooting first. And so the GTA0 society continues its downward spiral into utter meaninglessness.... :dontgetit:

Prior to moneypoloypse, I would load the car up with a remote bomb and then play it off as if I was trying to deliver it. Drive slowly, like I am lost and wait for somebody to come and kill me. off they go. When they finally get to the docks? Blamo!

LOL THIS HAPPENED TO ME TODAY

 

I have NEVER done anyone these HPV jobs before, and haven't paid any attention to them because I've had enough money to survive. But, today went crazy and blew up a crew's PV's and got in a big fight and I was poor and decided to do the HPV because I was broke and as soon as I got the notification I looked on the Mini-Map to see at least 7 people driving in the direction. Craziest sh*t I have ever experienced in GTAO
