lighting and thunder

so I just got kicked from online due to connection issues.. I log back into a lobby where it's pouring and out of nowhere lightning strikes followed by thunder.

 

is this a new feature or have I just never noticed the lightning and thunder before?

It's more of a rare occurrence, but it happens.

It rarely happens in my lobbies, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity so make sure you took a pic!

this is literally the first time I've ever seen it.. made me drop my controller and post a thread, actually thinking that it was a first occurrence of GTAO.

well now that I know it does happen, looks like I'll be taking camera out whenever it starts pouring like that again.

it happened to me for the first time a few weeks ago and it scared the sh*t out of me, i had volume high and i was just chilling outside my friends apartment and then BOOM it felt like it was going to blow my speakers
