i was playing drug wars and this random guy took cover at the left side of their regular car while luis was getting in it in the short cutscene, the guy then ragdolled out of the cover when i hit the gas.

I think peds will sometimes take cover when there's shooting going on. He didn't want to be a victim in your drug war!

Edit: Didn't notice you said in the cutscene. Only thing I can think is he might've been running from cops, peds also sometimes take cover while doing that.

Omg I'd wondered what that noise was in Star Junction! I thought it was some machinery/electronics noise from all the billboards/lights or under the grates or whatever or just a glitch. Love that.

Whenever I disable vehicles and pedestrians n Grand Theft Auto IV and I go to Star Junction I get some creepy vibes, because of that sound.

Probably not the right thread, but I just realized how deep the U.L Paper branch of the story is. Oleg Minkov went down a rabbit hole involving umbrella corporations and criminals near the Caspian Sea. This could be why Niko is on file, as he was involved in human trafficking. Judging by the e-mail on Oleg's laptop, he was cooking up a dossier and gaining attention online. Lawyers send him a notice, probably paid by the Russian billonaire you shoot down from the sky, and then he's dead. The next mission where you kill Dimayev, U.L Paper says it's a favor for the Russians, which adds credibility to the theory Minkov was a Russian hit.

I don't even know how to tl;dr that. Basically Minkov, a minor character, is probably responsible for Niko finding Darko, and getting an entire subset of Russian elite killed. sh*t, Niko would probably be in jail with Elizabeta and Jacob if he wasn't needed for this clean up job.

I'm sure what U.L. Paper does in Grand Theft Auto IV also has an effect on everything that happens between I.A.A. and F.I.B. in Grand Theft Auto V.

Remember, something in the shadows.

Dimitri does not die in the cutscene of the Deal Ending. He keeps moving a little and moving his mouth all the time, and by the end as Niko and Jacob leave, he stands up and stretches himself. A little mocap error by Rockstar ;)

I'm sure he is saying: Okay, I'm done. I hope you will pay me an amount of money we agreed on.

Actually, I think I'll record this scene. Give me a few mins and I'll put it into this post.

EDIT: Turns out Pegorino also moves back from the dead, lmao. Enjoy!

Only just noticed the silly little usable but unfinished ladders on top of the towers at each end of Broker Bridge. Took a helicopter up there and was like ooh what's this let me climb down it. Noticed it ended with a drop off after a few feet and went ok time to climb back up then. Nope! It won't let you climb back up once you're on one so falling off the bottom to my death on the bridge walkway below was my only option. There's 6 of these ladders on each tower, some of them are over water so you can survive the fall but the rest are deathtraps.

I wonder if it was going to be possible to climb around the bridge better originally and that's just what was left? Kind of interesting. I would've liked if you could climb all over the bridges. It's possible to climb up Algonquin Bridge from the ground if you walk very carefully on the cables but other than that you can't do much with them, you can't even jump off Broker Bridge from the road.

I had a similar experience with them, but instead of slowly getting down, I decided to slide down these ladders, so next thing I know Niko is falling to his doom.

These ladders in the real Brooklyn Bridge give access to the cables. Maybe at some point they tought about letting the players walk around there, but later decided against it. Or they got lazy with the ladder placement and they got msaligned.

That's cool! When I first saw them I hoped they were above the cables but nope, shifted over a few feet from them. I guess once they decided they wouldn't be functional it was easier to leave them where they looked best than realign things or whatever. It's cool that they still left them there though as they do make it look more like the real thing.

Only just noticed the cool big noodle bowl with chopsticks on the roof of a restaurant in Cerveza Heights. If you go up to the train station there and walk west along the tracks for a bit you see it on your left and can jump on the roof/climb inside it. Has some armour in it too, nice.

There's a female pedestrian that says "Don't worry, Michael doesn't suspect a thing", making clear that she's cheating on that guy Michael. I wonder if that gave Rockstar ideas for GTA 5. Credits to this video (minute 1:43):

Noticed a worker climbing up a series of ladders to get high up on a structure in Acter Industrial Park. Never seen that before, peds climbing up and down tall ladders just in their day to day business. Another thing, I saw a ped stop and tie their shoe! I love how they included so many different activities for peds to be doing.

You can also spot some pedestrians spotting on (invisible) turd (maybe?), and then check their shoes.

The player can shoot the window in Brian’s house and jump out.(Tlad)

It also may work with pushing/punching it but you gotta break the whole stuff

If you pick up objects peds are carrying, you can throw them at gas pumps to blow them up. Cigarettes, cell phones, coffee cups doesnt matter :D

I've been doing this a lot lately as I've been playing loads of gang wars in TLAD and I hate having to walk through the whole house each time. It's hard/maybe impossible to break the top part of the glass with your hands or a knife but it's easy to break the whole lot with a baseball bat.

You can also enter the house through this window in TBOGT (or TLAD if you wanted to). Door's locked but if you park a tall vehicle under the window and climb up you can get in if you break the glass.

Another thing I noticed about that house, there's an actual turd in the filthy toilet lol. And cockroaches crawling right next to Johnny's mattress. Really is a disgusting house.

Funny thing is that among all IV protagonists, Johnny is the one to own an actuall FULL house, not only an apartment. It may be sh*tty but it's still my favorite safehouse because it's a full house ;)

He probably doesn't even legally own it, it's a derelict squat lol. I did want a house in the game but I would've preferred pretty much any other house over that . Worse than how sh*tty it looks (which is kind of cool really) it's in an inconvenient location, you have to go around the back and make your way through like 5 rooms (furniture in the way included) and up a staircase just to save, and it has three radios blasting loud music at all times. I like the concept of Johnny ending up in such a crappy situation at the end of the game but just in practical terms it's a bit annoying.

HOW'S ANNIE?

Maybe someone can she some light on this. I'm doing my first replay in a while and I start the mission Search and Delete. I call 911 to get a police car, and when I hit the dispatcher says this (taken directly from dialogue in the pause menu):

"I'm sorry, but all our peacekeepers are currently busy dealing with quotas and filling in paperwork.

Never in my whole 10+ years playing this game have I ever heard the dispatcher say that. Even stranger, I reploaded the game to see if this event was scripted for the mission. Nope, they sent police first time. Can somebody explain to me wtf I did to make this happen?

I'm sure I've heard this before. I think it happens if you already called them and they haven't arrived yet and you call again. Or possibly if you called them (and had them come) too recently. Also possibly in certain missions where they decided calling the cops wouldn't be allowed (although that obviously doesn't apply in that mission). So maybe it was the first thing? Or if not a random glitch. I'll have to try out calling them to see if I can get that message next time I play.

Henrique delivers a modified Serrano when the player asks for it as Gta wiki says.

For some reason, the Russian Gang was the group to hold the more powerful weapons out of the Russian Mafia's two groups, and not the Russian Mob group.

I don't know if it's meant to show that the Russian Gang is the more aggressive and hotheaded group out of the two, or that was simply a mistake in coding, especially since the Italian Mafia still got more powerful weapons than the other gangs.

Killing Ivan is still a choise but there is something i noticed a few days ago while watching TLAD’s credits.

The player(Niko) normally can shoot and kill him even before he accidently falls off and tries to hang on but in TLAD credits we get to see Niko running to him till the end so cannonically niko didn’t shoot him and he made his choise.

True, you can shoot him when he's running on stairs.
