With the exception of the sh*tty servers ( why is this an online game if there is no coop/multiplayer) I'm really loving this game. Really liking Sapienza so far.

The Marakesh chapter comes out on May 31st but I have yet to find the official video for it.

In the meantime:

What online features do you get? Is it just to for leaderboard purposes?

With this course it's safe to assume that next mission, whether it will be Thailand or pack of three retrospective missions, won't be out before July.

@Mister Pink

Apart from the leaderboards you also get access to user generated contracts, Escalations (I think) and Elusive Targets (despite the fact there was just a single one so far if I recall correctly). More important is what you lose if you play without internet connection, as you completely lose any way to unlock challenges. And I believe I don't have to tell you that without them you have no way to progress in the Mastery, thus unlock additional suits, weapons, gear, Agency Pickups and Starting Locations. Sure you can complete the missions without all this stuff, but it feels like playing half of the game, especially that you are clearly told what you are missing in Offline Mode.

The second Elusive Target has come online - The Congressman, Anthony L. Troutt.

Even though I hardly played in Sapienza because I am building my guide I did manage to get Silent Assassin on him. I did gain some knowledge by doing a couple of rampage runs when I first got the chapter so I know most of the layout. I had to do the restart thing a few times because of my limited knowledge but I found that Anthony wasn't too hard at all. I figured out by trial and error that he was going to be exclusively on the mansion grounds and only went outside to admire the view. I got the Mansion Security Disguise by sneaking into the tower near where you start and using a Brick on one Guard and Subdued the other. I also had to destroy the Camera Recorder to prevent being Spotted as I went to follow him around.

I managed to observe his patterns and found that he only went in three areas - the afternoon room, the wine cellar, and the library. The Wine Cellar is where I got him. I grabbed the three Cans of Expired Spaghetti Sauce from the nearby storeroom to the north and positioned myself near the Container in the north half of the Cellar. When Anthony was out of view of the door then I tossed a Can towards where the barrels met the wall in the center of west side of the room. This attracted one of the Bodyguards. When he got into position then I tossed another Can at his head to knock him out. I put his body in the Container, grabbed his Pistol, grabbed the two Cans, and waited for the group to come back down again. I repeated the process to get the other Bodyguard.

After dumping the second Bodyguard then I went into the small Laundry Room at the west side of the Cellar and turned on the Sink. When Anthony and the Mansion Staff escort came back down then Anthony looked around for a bit then went into the Laundry Room. I followed him in, closed the door, and Garroted his ass. I dumped his body in the Container, walked out of the Mansion, and drove off in the white car. Like a boss.

Got the Congressman in the library.

Knocked everyone out in the room with a lead pipe, broke his neck and bolted the f*ck out lol.

Hope they blame the assistant, boring c*nt. This game is incredibly fun, worth the 15 bucks tbh.

Ah, cool, thanks.

I might purchase the first pack this week.

I would recommend turning off all the hand holding options, especially if you've played other games from the series before. Default setting kills all the thrill from making silent hit, as it exactly tells you what's what and shows you the ways you should take in order to succeed.

Turn off the instinct, opportunities and the enforcer markers and you will be fine.

I most certainly will be doing that. I remember for Absolution they brought the default to super casual, super-vision, mind-reading madness. I switched off all those options so I could play like I did with Blood Money.

Thanks for the heads-up though. :^:

With regards to that exclusive, is that really going to make people purchase that console or is it to make people that bought a PS4 feel more smug and content with their purchase or give the impression there's more happening over at PS4. Cause right now, I don't feel like any of those things. I'm just feeling IO/Square Enix are c*nts.

If The Sarajevo Six were real tough and challenging with cool stuff to unlock then I would imagine that more non-PS4 owners would be more upset. However, if Scott Sarno is any indication, these guys are pushovers (mind you, I haven't played through Sapienza due to me writing up my guide so I haven't done the second guy yet). It was real easy to get SA on him and just as easy to get the other Challenge tied to him (you have to kill him with the Light Rig). And you don't get anything cool to unlock either (you just get additional XP). I wouldn't get too worked up over this exclusive and I think that they will be available on both PC and Xbone anyway when the last chapter is released at the end of the year.

Cannot play the game right now because of server issues. All forms of Online DRM need to be made illegal, period. With that said, since I cannot play Hitman right now I decided to fire up the old PS3 and give my newest acquisition a spin - Red Seeds Profile, the Japanese version of Deadly Premonition. Going to do a revision to my DP guide later in the year in preparation for the new Twin Peaks episodes that come out next year. Might as well get a little bit of that started now.....

Marrakesh is f*cking awesome, spent the entire day exploring every opportunity and I have yet to explore the entire embassy.

I must know what the best outfit for it is, guard uniform is seen by everyone for some reason.

Have you tried cameraman's disguise? He can almost go wherever he pleases in the Embassy.

I did but there were a couple of annoying guards that could see right through. I'll try it again.

I finally bought the prologue and Paris pack. I have to say, I'm really liking what I've played so far. I know I only did the training missions but they seemed pretty easy.

Especially the fighter-jet one...

I managed to scale the fence, took out a guard with by throwing a wrench or hammer at him. Took his uniform and went to the side of the hangar (was so happy I could climb the drain pipe) and then climbed in the window of the bathroom. Luckily enough, the first person that comes in is The Colonel. Grabbed his outfit which allowed me to go anywhere. Poisoned the the aircraft mechanic, when he was in the toilet I drowned him, took his uniform and fixed the plane.

I got the other guy's guard as he walked behind him as he entered the main planning room/The Colonel's room. He didn't hear me take out that guard so I just fiber-wired that dude.

Very enjoyable game.

I'll probably look at disabling more features. Maybe even the map.

Tycek, how is yours set up? You like a challenge, right?

I believe that Hitman game should be actually challenging and turning off the hand holding features hide some of the issues as well.

I my set up I've turned off instinct, opportunities and the NPC icons as I told you before. Additionally I turned off the mini map and I also got rid of objectives and interaction highlight as these are not necessary at all. I still use the attention meter, but I have to try playing without it one day. Dunno if it will be possible at all, as sometimes NPC can somehow see you despite looking in different direction.

To have a small recap:

Opportunities: OFF
Instinct: OFF
Mini Map: OFF
NPC Icons: OFF
Attention: ON
Vital info Bar: OFF
Interaction Highlight: OFF
Objectives: OFF

Man this new level is hard to do Suit Only. I haven't looked at a video guide as I'm trying to challenge myself with the Suit Only and Silent Assassins.

"Exclusive"/Time exclusive DLC for games on all consoles is just BS. If a game is on all consoles, so should all DLC. Nobody is stupid enough(.....actually there probably are people stupid enough) to go out and buy another console to get a exclusive DLC. Pulling cards like that make people drop games, I was going to buy Lego Avengers but now I'm waiting until I can have Ant-Man on the Xbox seeing I won't give two craps about the game when he finally is on it if I already beat it months ago.

Excellent, thanks for going to the trouble of writing that. I'm in work right now (when I view boards, mostly) and my gaming time can be quite short, so it's good to know this before I start messing around with variations of settings. :^:

Just from reading it, I can see how that makes sense. I like the idea of having the NPC icons off as well as the interaction highlight off. The interaction highlight was a thing brought in Absolution, right? Yeah there's so many indicators and things to help you, I would hope most of us are playing like this to get the classic Hitman experience.

I am actually wondering why they have added so much or these features in the first place? I understand it's quite of a signum temporis that game has to be approachable to different group of customers, but Hitman was actually directed to more hardcore players from the beginning. It wasn't casual title and the emphasis on being stealthy and finding your own way could actually estrange players looking for easy gameplay. Apparently from what I've heard game was bought by around 200 000 people and the number is not increasing along with the releases of further episodes. I guess sales will increase when the physical version will be out, but it's still long way to this. We may assume that these people are fans who were waiting for the new title in the series and they ate their teeth on the previous games, so they don't actually need all this "helping" features.

Maybe someone should made a proposition to them on their official forums to include simple dialogue window appearing after the Guided Training, where the player would be asked if he's fresh or returning player and allowed to switch some of the options out? Sure you can do it manually, but when you turn the game from the start, first question (only about opportunities) appear in Final Test and player may not even be aware that all of the options can be turned off.

Anyway, I really recommend switching all these options out like I said, except attention meter. Playing without it may be interesting experience, but it's just easier to play with it.

That's actually a very good idea. I've seen something similar in another game where you to a skill test and they sort of figure out your level of competence.

And yes, I don't think it's far-fetched to assume those 200,000 would be more hardcore fans or at least returning fans.

Been busy the last few days and don't have the time to play for another day or two. Hopefully, before the weekend, I'll be able to play again.

The next Elusive Target to come up is going to be Gary Busey. Should be later this week and the window may be a week this time which should give everybody plenty of time to get this one. Should be interesting. I wonder if you'll be able to Poison his Boomshine?.....
