Osho
Hitman Monthly Episode Release Dates Subject to Change Hitmandeveloper IO Interactive has admitted that they may not hit the monthly release schedule for their planned episodes. In a post on Twitter, IO has stated that while they are "aiming for a monthly release" schedule, that planning is subject to change. This first came to light when the first Elusive Target release was delayed from its planned date of March 22. A tweet from the official account over the weekend throws the dates of future releases into doubt as well. It's something anyone considering the Season Pass should keep in mind. If you're not willing to pay up front for content that might be delayed, you should probably consider waiting for the full release of the game, currently scheduled for January 2017, although that date could obviously be affected by any other delays to content. Seriously, DO NOT BUY! Vote with your wallets. This game in its current state seems really more about Online than SP. This whole beta ..pheta ..sheiita episodic crap seems nothing more than an "early access demo" they are going to carry out for an unfinished game throughout the year and tricked customers into believing as paying for 'episodic DLC' but it feels more like customers being tricked into beta testing by paying full price for the same, or even the episodic packs before release of the full game. After realizing all this, I'm not sure how could IO expect the game to generate enough interest to get people as "paid beta testers" for it???? Really stupid move on the publishers part, and if people continue to support such practices then it'll be really appalling, to say the least. MyName'sJeff
The gaming industry is in shambles because of f*cking moronic f*ckheads. I don't feel sorry for those people who support these practices, let them waste their money on unfinished games while the people with common sense will not surrender to f*ckery. /rant

DEALUX
This game is even on consoles. I wonder if they will actually bother to fix the frame rate drops and when. I will skip this game until it's fully released and fixed. chronic lumbago
They release it in episodes so we can replay the level as often as we can. Otherwise, in a full release we'd simply move to the next mission. Completing this in one run would make the game very short.
acmilano
Interesting to see a name of my city in a Hitman. It might be strange to me like playing GTA 4 and Uncharted 2.Well there was a lot of people after the Bosnian war that deserved Agent 47's visit. Not having PS4 jet but probably gonna check it later. You can just complete the game.. and then go back and replay it, or replay whatever mission you want. I doubt most people replay the same missions over and over before moving on to the next. BUT THE BENZ
oh...the "game" is out already? or more like, the first "slice of the cake" is available? sorry, after hitman absolution I will have to think VERY hard about spending money again on that franchise...so when I heard about this rip-off idea of a "game" I didn't pay any more attention to it, thus one question: do they release retail copies of these "episodes", or is it digital content only? the latter would make sense, financially speaking...but hey they release a mediocre game in what, 6 or 7 episodes, and they do it...monthly?! can't say the people behind this are clever and make mmuch sense...so...I guess my question is legitimate
PhoGarrett
Sapienzia is a great Hitman mission. It's filled to the brim with passion and love for the series, and it's huge! This is a must-own for any Hitman fan, DRM BS aside. Fallcreek and Rockstar Vienna

I don't like this "business model" either but so far, the first two episodes are brilliant. HITMAN is a huge improvement over Absolution!

KarimNTerr
I don't know, but as a fan of Hitman: The Triple Hit Pack, I must say that Hitman: Contracts ain't that original. I mean, half of the missions are just remakes of Hitman: Codename 47's, without counting that the game was a bit short on its own. Don't get me wrong, though, the game itself was amazing - loved its gameplay, missions and overall atmosphere. However, while I don't like Square Enix's episodic business model, I really like this new Hitman game from what I've seen. Definitely looking forward to buying the final, physical copy of the game once I get a PS4. Also want to try out Hitman: Absolution even though I already know that I won't like some aspects of it. It's not worth a single dime! the core mechanics are totally flawed and they never had it fix'd....because if they wanted to do that they would have to re-write like 90 % of the existing code for the game... gooeyhole
I actually didn't mind Absolution. The stealth wasn't there and that really sucked, yet I still don't regret playing it. Payne Killer

I don't consider myself a hitman fan but I liked the previous full games and I think some people would be disappointed with a full release. You can go back and redo the mission in many games but not everyone would see the replay value in this like others. I played the first mission two times (+1 being disconnected) and that's it for me. If I had the whole game, I'd be done with this quite quickly. Edited April 27, 2016 by fashion

If I'd ever get it, I'll buy the Ultimate Stealth Triple Pack, so If I end up being irredeemably disappointed by Hitman: Absolution, I'll still have two other amazing games. I really like the atmosphere of that game, and it improved some things from older Hitman games, but well, that is to be expected. I'm a big fan of this series, and even though I've always seen Hitman: Absolution negatively, I really want to give it a try. On-topic: As an Italian-Moroccan, I'm very happy both Italy (Sapienza) and Morocco (Marrakesh) are in the game. Sapienza looks very well made from the trailer - looking forward to seeing how Marrakesh will be designed.

hornedturtle
Hitman Absolution isn't bad if you're into cover stealth.Hitman absolution was bad not just because of the stealth. The checklists to get sa where complete bs aswell. Kill 6 guards with a screw driver for example. The point system made no sense and the story made even less sense. Jabalous
Reviewers and players alike highly praise the game and they insist that it's a true return to Hitman roots. This has got me pumped to turn on my PS4 and download the two episodes. This got me thinking why IO did Absolution in the first place. After all the positive feedback, I'm sure that they're now sitting and wondering why the hell they even though of doing something like Absolution. Jabalous
Although I didn't play Absolution, but from what I saw and heard, it played like a linear game based on checkpoints with more emphasis on a controlled cinematic direction. If this is the case, then I don't see how it can be a Hitman game given that it disrupted the main pillar on which the franchise is standing, which is the nonlinear missions that take place in an explorable open-world setting. ryanhunter_rfc
Yeah the new level is a lot bigger and more diverse than the Paris contract. I love exploring the old town and listening to conversations. It has a great atmosphere. Although we don't have the full game at once, the levels are more fleshed out than they would ever have been on a disc. Audi
RARusk
The first Elusive Target has just come on line. He is Sergei Larin, The Forger. I've just completed this a short time ago and came up with a good way to do this if you haven't done this yet. Start in the Kitchen as Palace Staff and go to the hallway between the Dressing Area and Museum and wait. He'll eventually come down through the Dressing Area and to the Museum. Follow him when he passes and he will stop inside the Museum to take a call. His bodyguard will turn his back to him. Stand southwest of Sergei, shoot him in the back of the head with your Silenced Pistol, and run out through the Main Entrance as this is the closest exit from your position. When I originally did this I started in the Kitchen and grabbed the Crowbar, Palace Master Key, Rat Poison, destroyed the Recorder, grabbed the Scissors, and the Wrench just in case. I went to the northwest garden and subdued both Guards and then Helmut to get his Disguise. I went to the middle floor because the briefing indicated he might be there but he wasn't. I then went to the top floor and found him as he was exiting the Attic. I then followed him until he stopped in the Museum. As he started the call then I checked on his Bodyguard and found that he had his back turned. So I stood southwest of Sergei, shot him in the back of the head, and walked out like a boss. Perfect rating all the way through. "One day I will think of this as just another job. After all, this is what I do."
