I don't understand people buying a bunch of adders to sell after their illegitimate funds are taken away. Those large gifts of money ruined the game. Why would you want to spend it or find a way to keep it? It takes away all the sense of accomplishment and progression. You guys are worse than the hackers, you want to keep the game ruined. Makes no sense.

How is the game ruined for you if another person has more money? You do whatever you please and let other people do whatever they please.

 

I saved my money for a month to buy my buzzard. It should be an advantage to have one for me and anyone else who leveled/saved up to buy one. Replace buzzard with any other expensive item that is in the game to buy for an advantage and you can see how this ruins the game. This game is about working your way up from nothing and saving up to buy an advantage over other players. If anyone can just buy every advantage at any time, what is the point of 100% legit players playing? We'll never be able to catch up to the billions spent by those who received modded money and spent it. That's how other people will be ruining the game for me and others who play by the rules: by negating the point of playing. Believe it or not, your behavior does effect others.

 

How's your Buzzard an advantage when the average player has a pretty decent chance of just grabbing one from the nearest helipad, free of charge? Better yet, they could just head on over to Zancudo and grab a jet for free, which is superior to your Buzzard in most ways.

 

With expensive cars, it's only really an advantage in races. Even then, I've smoked 3-4 fully modded high-end sports cars in my Buffalo. You're only at a real disadvantage if the race is just a straight line.

 

 

I have a 100% chance of having my buzzard at the nearest helipad for $200. That is advantageous vs. the player who has less than 100% chance of finding a buzzard or has to go to zancudo to get a jet. You are very good at races, it would still be to your advantage to have a faster car (even if you would win anyway, you could complete races faster and earn more) you would also have an advantage chasing bounties, crate drops and specific simeon exports (which are worth it btw, have received $10K+ many times). Buying a higher class of gun grants an advantage over other players by dealing more damage, shooting more accurately or firing more bullets. All of these are examples of advantages you can buy in the game. People should be able to afford these advantages because they had the discipline to save my money, people without money (or who wouldn't have money without gifts) or the discipline to save it should not.

 

Buddy. Your wasting your time. these people dont listen to reason. They feel like they deserve to have everything without having to work for it. Dont worry though. Tomorrow will be a fun day and their tears will provide us real players with soooo much lubricant

If they are patching or changing anything, I hope it is a big one. The 1.09 was just a get-ready I believe. They didn't spend nearly a month to add just "Improved anti-cheat measure" and "Fix for several GTA$ and RP exploits" that still haven't been noticed in the game.

I hope it is the Moneypocalypse, but I really hope we finally get the sharks, casino, pink slips, etc. that was leaked in November. Maybe this even includes the mission creator and possibly heists...but all I really want is 10-car garages and houses/apartments in Blaine county.

RP does play a part in earning advantages, but it doesn't negate my stance on modded money. Reaching the level to unlock a new item only grants you the ability to buy the item, not the item itself. Imagine you were in a lobby with ppl all at your level, let's say this is the level right before you unlock that heavy sniper, and you all leveled up at the same time and unlocked the sniper rifle. You had saved money for the heavy sniper and everyone else kept spending theirs on chrome paint jobs so you were the only one that could buy it and could rain down justice from afar until someone else could afford it. In that scenario you were rewarded for playing with a new level and an unlock and you were rewarded for saving your money by buying the rifle.

 

Now imagine a similar scenario where you had saved for the rifle and everyone was blowing their money on chrome paint jobs. This time everyone goes and buys the heavy sniper rifle right when it unlocks because they all have $1billion. Doesn't that ruin, or at least cheapen your experience a little? You saved and put in the work to earn that rifle, but it doesn't matter. You get no advantage, even temporarily, because others can just get those same advantages with far less work.

This will be interesting. Its really a make or break or moment for GTAO. So many ways they can screw this up. People are already plotting ways to work around the possibile purge. They probably wont even take money from people it's probably just routine stuff, or they installed a money tracker in 1.09 and are seeing whos spending insane amounts of money.

The Buzzard is essential for some missions, especially if you roll solo.

This is interesting. It is all a matter of skill, but not in the way I think you mean. See in that scenario, the player that saved for the rifle had betters skills: Better money management skills, better ammo and life conservation skills to minimize mission expenses, possibly better driving/shooting skills to earn more bounties and so on. That player should be rewarded accordingly for his/her skills. When those rewards are earned by the skilled and unskilled alike the reward is meaningless.

 

I also find the stance that modded money is ok, that everyone having money they didn't earn doesn't affect me, interesting among gamers. Most of the people I come across online lean more conservative. I'm betting that if polled this thread on the stance towards socialism, I would see the majority against. Looks like you're all for sharing the wealth as long as it benefits you.
