I don't understand people buying a bunch of adders to sell after their illegitimate funds are taken away. Those large gifts of money ruined the game. Why would you want to spend it or find a way to keep it? It takes away all the sense of accomplishment and progression. You guys are worse than the hackers, you want to keep the game ruined. Makes no sense.

How is the game ruined for you if another person has more money? You do whatever you please and let other people do whatever they please.

 

I saved my money for a month to buy my buzzard. It should be an advantage to have one for me and anyone else who leveled/saved up to buy one. Replace buzzard with any other expensive item that is in the game to buy for an advantage and you can see how this ruins the game. This game is about working your way up from nothing and saving up to buy an advantage over other players. If anyone can just buy every advantage at any time, what is the point of 100% legit players playing? We'll never be able to catch up to the billions spent by those who received modded money and spent it. That's how other people will be ruining the game for me and others who play by the rules: by negating the point of playing. Believe it or not, your behavior does effect others.

How's your Buzzard an advantage when the average player has a pretty decent chance of just grabbing one from the nearest helipad, free of charge? Better yet, they could just head on over to Zancudo and grab a jet for free, which is superior to your Buzzard in most ways.

 

With expensive cars, it's only really an advantage in races. Even then, I've smoked 3-4 fully modded high-end sports cars in my Buffalo. You're only at a real disadvantage if the race is just a straight line.

They could be doing that, but given R* saying they'll deliver punishments for what's happened lately, I think this is the high priority.

We all had to work for our money, big deal, everyone who stocked up on Adders, you go boy.. Those things are not gonna affect any of you hypocritical bitches..

How about they fix all the million other things that are wrong with online? Like the cornrows, the brain dead mechanic, the lobbies, the cops, passive mode, bad sport/good sport, the houses, more garages, and all those things. ALLLL of those things needed to be sorted out since day one, but somehow 75% of this forum is playing the holy virgin Maria and want hackers and people who got gifted money, gone. Even when people ARE being gifted money, most of ya'll wouldn't even f*cking notice it..

Exactly. Because when everyone logs in tomorrow without any money, the game will be so much more fun and it will completely change the way people play. Oh wait...exactly neither of these are true. If you log in tomorrow and I have ten dollars or ten million dollars, it will not affect your game play experience in the slightest.

 

If you enjoy mindlessly grinding the same content over and over and over for pittances, then by all means do so. But don't you dare be judgmental of people who choose to do otherwise. Whatever your delusions, there is no in-game economy in GTAO whereby market values fluctuate. The only people standing to benefit from a money wipe would be Rockstar, who then would be able to push cash cards harder.

 

Also, you're failing to remember that if Rockstar does indeed remove all money, and patch every single loophole, exploit, and glitch, there'll be nothing left to bitch about from the people who love nothing more than to have something to bitch about. This absolutely must continue if for no other reason than to give trolls and haters a reason to continue trolling and hating.

Single player is a great option for players who wish to have everything all at once, and players who feel that way will find that mode to be suitable for the experience they are looking for.

 

The dynamic of unlocking items over time and using cash to acquire those items once unlocked is the major design dynamic in the game. That rockstar had given the players the option to buy in game cash with real money doesn't give anyone the license to acquire money outside of the two methods rockstsar put in the game. This is clearly the design rockstar intended, most players leveling up and using in game cash to get items with a few purchasing cash cards, if you're unhappy with this dynamic I'm sure there are other games that are more in line with your play style.

It could easily be, although R* has recently been marking support tickets about modded money as 'solved' without removing any money or anything. Recently as in today.

Last routine maintenance lasted about 2 hours, and they also added those crates you can pick up.

 

If it wasn't sonething important, I don't think it would last that much.

I have a 100% chance of having my buzzard at the nearest helipad for $200. That is advantageous vs. the player who has less than 100% chance of finding a buzzard or has to go to zancudo to get a jet. You are very good at races, it would still be to your advantage to have a faster car (even if you would win anyway, you could complete races faster and earn more) you would also have an advantage chasing bounties, crate drops and specific simeon exports (which are worth it btw, have received $10K+ many times). Buying a higher class of gun grants an advantage over other players by dealing more damage, shooting more accurately or firing more bullets. All of these are examples of advantages you can buy in the game. People should be able to afford these advantages because they had the discipline to save my money, people without money (or who wouldn't have money without gifts) or the discipline to save it should not.

When I signed in monday night I got these two notifications but none to show...

 

 

I can only surmise it as two things. One: It registered my collector's edition content (but the argument against that is it detects it when you start up Single player and I've never gotten this message before)

 

and Two: it added new weapons and vehicles but didn't show up when I visited the websites and Ammunations.

Thats the thing, they were able to wipe peoples accounts without the need of a patch or closing down the servers.

 

 

But only for a few people. It might require more resources to wipe several million accounts worth of money in a 24 hour period.

Hmm, perhaps you're right. Maybe the game re-registered the beach bum pack. I've already had them but it makes sense.

Missions.

 

The buzzard makes a lot of the Martin missions much faster/easier. Same with Ron's Base Invaders.

 

You get 2 or 3 people heading in with buzzards in Mixed up with Coke or Trash Talk and it takes two minutes.

 

Cheaper than a sticky bomb & unlimited ammo.

My prediction:

 

1. Modded money deleted.

2. Earned money retained and recouped if spent, so you will have a good amount of cash.

3. Levels retained, even if modded.

4. All purchased items deleted, everything, you will wake up naked in an alley.

Your overlooking the leveling system. Unless you hack RP your still stuck using lower level weapons, with less add ons. Some car upgrades rely on leveling, others on winning races, others on doing stunt jumps and turbo starts all of which require time and effort.

 

If you started the game today but had a billion dollars you could buy an apartment and a supercar but i'm sure someone who has taken the time to earn the upgrades for weapons and cars will still be able to kick their ass.

 

I have a billion but have yet to unlock the heavy sniper, I think i'm still at a disadvantage in a sniper fight.

 

I've started playing more missions and races and just having way more fun since my gifted billion so I'll be sad to see it go.

 

Not everybody that has gifted money uses it to grief people.

Maintenance is the upkeep.. Which is a contingency if fixes are needed. And Patch 1.09 had no notes that I could find. We shall see its exciting to see if I get put in the cheaters pool or not. If I do I am starting over. I should have done it to begin with.. silly me.
