AlexGTAGamer 57
Being a great fan of historic war planes the image of seeing those planes - a Spitfire, Lancashire Bomber and a Hurricane - flying over London just sends chills down my spine every time. And staying on the subject of aviation: The last flight of Concorde over Bristol, a sad yet wonderful memory.

fireguy109 531
Holy tit biscuits. Was watching Animal Planet during a commercial and they had a thing running on this feller. 21 foot (6.4 meters), 1 ton (1075 kg) 50 year old suspected man eater. Caught, now living in some zoo in the Philippines.
Oddsock 39
This photo definitely swells my heart three times its size. I am already very wistful about the end of the Space Shuttle Program, so when this photo came out a few days ago, I felt that these beautiful pieces of technology have gone out with a bang, not a whimper. It looks so wonderfully triumphant in the weather, surrounded by the love of its nation. I wish I could have been there. When I first saw this photo, I thought it was staged, but after I looked it up, I found myself sad that it wasn't. I still don't have the fullest understanding of the Chechen conflict, but in learning about what happened in Grozny, which is where this photo was taken, I only cared to think about how pointless and saddening the massive loss of life was there. Boo.
