Best ways to make money and level up?

Ive just started to play GTA Online and im finding it really hard to level up and make money. I see people on levels 400+ or whatever with hundreds of millions of dollars... surely not all of these people are hackers or used glitches? Just curious as to what is the best, legit way of making good money and leveling up

most people with millions of dollars and ranks above 200 are hackers, i wouldnt be so quick to call them legit

but if you wanna rank up fast and make money, then get a few friends and do some missions/races

i recommend survival

i think being in a crew feeds your rank a bit more, not sure tho

Do survivals. Join a crew. Missions, etc. Youre not gonna get a level 400 doing this, and quite frankly, there arent many legit 200+ players, but you will rank up quickly till you get to around lvl 70 or so, which is more than respectable, and by then you will have developed skills, and a better understanding of the game and how to make it work for you.

Hope this helps

The best way to level up is to play the game modes that best suit one's own tastes in my opinion. If a player is into death match, do that, racing, do that, missions... etc...

The rich high ranks may or may not be hackers, but generally speaking, they probably got their ranks out side of regular game mechanics.

OP, if your question meant, fastest way to rank up, then farming the mission entitled coveted from the start menu jobs is a popular option.

I find the best way to level up and get some decent money is by doing missions. Since most of the money hacking/modding has calmed down there has been a noticeable increase in people doing missions again.

Steal and sell cars (SUV's and Coupe's seem to net the most money), rob stores, do the missions sent to you, races.

Once you rank up to 15, run Survival. A lot of RP available plus 20K for completing.

Once you reach level 25, run Pot Shot, it is in your pause menu>jobs>rockstarcreated> missions. You can replay by hitting square upon completion.

Once you reach level 36, do Coveted, also in the pause menu list of missions. $12,000 and around 1800-2400 RP every 4 minutes or so. Replayable.

Deliver Simeon vehicles.

Once you have decent weapons, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch tend to pay out pretty decently too.

I wouldnt even bother playing the game bro, the payouts have been nerfed to f*ck and its full of hackers. You should insert the GTA V inside your rectum and leave it there my nigga.

Most of the high ranking missions pay okay for what you have to do; 3000RP and 18,000 on Hard is pretty good for 5-6 minutes of time.

Get someone to host high rank missions like Stocks and Scares, Rooftop Rumble, Mixed up with coke and Trash talk for you. All award over 3k RP and $15k+

Also Coveted. Idk if it can be repeated still, but that one is good and you don't have to call.

Basically play coveted once you unlock it(go to start menu-gta online i think-jobs-rockstar created-missions-coveted something like that.

And sell Gallivater Ballers(Range rover) or Felon's(more rare). You can sell them every 48 real minutes

Or you can just get a hacker to gift you billions if you wanna be gay like everyone else

99% of people above 250 hacked a couple weeks ago. Racing is probably still your best bet until you reach around level 15-20 then do some survivals and start searching missions One of my pals says he gets a lot of rp for being on winning deathmatch team but I am not into those.

I ranked up really fast, IMO, with a very simple system. Golfing at lower ranks is great since the RP isn't level based. Sink some birdies along the 9 holes, and you come out with 2000-25000 RP.

As your rank increases, that amount of RP becomes more common. At some point, you'll find doing races can pay just as well, if not more. And they are faster to finish than golf, too. Races pay out best when you race with at least 3-4 other people, and it is better when they're higher ranked than you.

Survival is good, but more time consuming, I find. I do that when also working on my Shooting skill.

To Line of Chop:

Makes sense to come to a GTA5:O forum, call the game a PoS, tell someone asking for legitimate advice to "shove the game up their ---," and then call the person the N word (in an ownership context, no less!). Real class.

Just another typical, predictable troll. Ignore.

To VercettiClarke:

I found when I started playing, I had a process of jacking a car and selling it, then doing a race (10 min), then a Survival (20 min), and then a mission (I did Potshot because it's really easy and it has a decent payout on Hard level... takes 3 min. when you get it down... just don't let the van cross the bridge!).

After doing all of those things in one session, I had some decent money AND a healthy amount of RP. I've been playing since day one and I'm only level 84 now. I have a modest bankroll which I earned and I still do the same regiment, except I'm much better now and my payouts are bigger.

Good luck and look forward to seeing you in Los Santos! Cheers! ;)

Great suggestions so far. I also like "The Commute", "Criminal Records", and "Route 66" races. They are low level and can be done quickly.

I highly recommend adding W33k3nd as a friend. (Ps3) he's an absolutely awesome player. Amazing gun man and amazing pilot. Do some mission's with him and you're away. Rp and pay outs are good with friends and crew.

Apparently 6 laps of down the drain still beats Coveted for the quickest RP gains.

Personally I treat anyone over about level 150 as a hacker or someone who has hacked to get their level up because 99% of the time they behave like one.

Fer sure, sorry, shoulda stated that's the 'base'. At the end of a round you can see what the base dough is. It is certainly possible to get more.

Speaking o' that one, was doing it with my daughter and friend last night.... we get to the end, where ya grab the coke in the hanger... cleared all the baddies, just need to grab it, and her little friend blows up the plane, and the coke... sigh... nice waste of 15 min. Weeeeeee....

And hey, if ya want EASY and FAST RP and cash, you can farm Pot Shot (lvl 25) on hard... over and over... You get $7k and around 1450 RP in about 3-4 minutes. Only problem for me is that it gets kinda boring real fast. But it is probably the easiest. Doesn't even cost ya much in ammo.

(not my vid, just giving as example)

What people underestimate about Coveted is the replay option. After beating the mission in under 4 minutes, you can press square to replay it. NPC mission were like this, but they got patched.

Martin's missions set to Hard (Trash Talk, Rooftop rumble, Cleaing out the cat house and Los Santos Connection). Pay out is good and the RP depending on the # of people doing it is good also.

Lester's mission set to Hard (The Parking garage) Pay is good and also good RP.

Coveted we do sometimes

We do alot of Martin missions though. The more you do them the easier it gets. We do some survival missions

Looking for a Crew on PSN? Check out DIRT. We are always doing missions and sometimes run wild through the streets of Los Santos backing eachother up.
