Dropping Weapons?

I don't want to have to cycle through 3 or 4 different pistols. Is there a way to drop all of them except the AP Pistol? Same for SMGs and ARs.

Aim your weapon and press B or Y..if on Xbox that is.

Open the weapon wheel, then press Y I think to drop the selected weapon. You can also drop ammo.

Just select the weapon you want to drop, and press Y. Make sure to keep the weapon GUI open or else it won't work.

Don't drop the pistol because you'll eventually just pick up another from a dead guy, so there's no point.

I dropped the AK and only keep the carbine and advance

 

Dropped all pistols except AP and .50, I DO NOT pickup any weapons from dead bodies but I always respawn with the original pistol Lamar gives you, I can't seem to get rid of it.

 

Keep my Mini gun/Rpg/grenade launcher

 

Keep All SMG

 

Dropped all shotguns except assault one

 

Only have heavy sniper

 

 

Wish you could setup your wheel and it stays that way, then if you want a different gun you have to change it. Everytime I hop online I hate having to set it up the way I want.

 

Nothing more annoying when you are in a gun fight and you try to quickly switch to the gun you want, especially with the xbox sh*tty DPAD.

I kept the following in the weapons:

 

Handguns:

• Pistol
• AP Pistol (for driveby is way better than MicroSMG)
• Pistol .50 (because it's cool)

 

SMG's

• None!

 

Assault Rifles:

• Carbine Rifle
• Advanced Rifle

 

Light Machine Guns:

• Combat MG (this is my primary weapon)

 

Shotgun:

• Sawed-Off Shotgun (because you can use it while riding on a Motorcycle / Bicycle)
• Assault Shotgun (the only shotgun you need on foot)

 

Sniper:

• Heavy sniper

 

Heavy Weapons (kept all):

• RPG
• Grenade Launcher
• Minigun

 

Thrown & Misc (got rid off the grenades, Jerry can, tear gas etc.):

• Sticky Bombs (the only one you need)

 

Melee

• Kept all (I use all of them when we're fooling around)

I keep trying to drop certain things and wind up with them anyway not that long after. Sometimes I accidentally click on something to purchase at Ammunation that I'd tried to get rid of.

 

I almost wish they'd allow players to "block" picking up/buying certain things. I don't want some of the lower lvl weapons and I don't want to keep accidentally getting them.

 

It would be cool if you could sell weapons to Ammunation for a couple bucks although I'm sure that would somehow create problems....

I die once a session because I got the wrong gun selected. I feel your pain

Top tip - if you drop the Jerry Can and then retire to a suitable distance with your sniper rifle, it explodes when you shoot it - and generally someone does try to pick it up
