It seems like playing GTA V was a burden for you. Did you enjoy it at all? Give an honest yes or no answer. No wishy-washy crap. Don't say anything about how you didn't like the story or the characters or your hate for yoga. Did you enjoy playing GTA V, yes or no?

Ok, but there is no easy way to put this. I'll be as straight as I can with my answer.

To quite a large extent yes, I did enjoy playing GTA V, and I definitely had my moments of fun. But at the same time, I did not really enjoy a significant proportion of the game either, that I have to say.

I'll say this again - in short, I still think V is a great game, but it's not as great as it should have been. I really feel that V was such a waste of great potential, and I just don't think that V fully lived up to my expectations (and many others too). Which is probably where my frustration and disappointment with the game stems from.

@ iProinsias

Well, that's fair. "Your opinion doesn't matter, I say TLC was better, so it was". That's very mature of you.

I was actually making a point that you're entitled to your own opinion, no need to get defensive with the sarcasm. If you think that all of V's heists were better than Three Leaf Clover, then fine, I don't seek to change that. I just think Three Leaf Clover was better than nearly all of V's heists.

@OfficialGeneral

Better storyline? Seriously? Just because of Trevor? Get a hold of your self, San Andreas had the most whacky, bad & unrealistic storyline of all the GTAs. I can't take you seriously right now.
In all honestly TLC is overrated, it's just another shooting gallery mission with the excuse of it being a Bank robbery, it never influenced V's at all. It wasn't varied, it was all scripted and cops had half the heal they were ment to. There were unique vehicles that couldn't be use.
And I find it weird that Michael died by a single gunshot to the chest but Packie, Niko & Derrick manage to get out alive when being shot at by south, left, center, right and everything that is a direction by Carabine rifles, a helicopter, shotguns and normal Pistols aswell.
Honestly every single heist beats TLC.

* I don't wanna go into detail, but I just think that SA's story was better than V's story, it's just my personal conclusion after comparing the two as to how I enjoyed them and found them interesting. And if you cannot take me seriously simply because my opinion is different to yours and you don't agree with it, then that's your business, there is nothing I can do to help you there.

* I never said Three Leaf Clover influenced the heists in V (I don't know why you said that in the first place). I'm sorry, but I just thought that Three Leaf Clover was much more action packed, explosive, and high-octane than all of the heists in V, aside from the jewelry store one (which was equally just as great). I don't really care about the scripted structure or the lack of pre-planning in the heist, because Niko was not supposed to have a hand in all that anyway, you're forgetting his main criminal profession was that of a hitman. For me, Three Leaf Clover was simply a very realistically stunning spectacle of a violent bank robbery in a video game, and I had a great fun and entertainment playing it - it was just classic, unforgettable stuff. I can't personally say the same about V's heists - once again, except for the jewelry store one.

The player had very little control or input into the heist pre-planning, and it was all to very restrictive and limited. I just did not care for it, it did nothing to add to excitement of heists in V for me, and I'm being very honest on that. The pre-planning missions for the heists were very, basic simple tasks that should never have been classed as missions, in the end it was nothing special. And doing like 3 or 4 out of 6 major heists for the FIB, and hardly getting any decent money for most of them did a lot to spoil my fun playing the heists in V, it just did not feel very rewarding at all.

Thank you, Official General. I had similar feelings with GTA V as well. I didn't expect much, I hoped for a longer story line, and I knew GTA V could have had more potential, but I was VERY satisfied with R* offered me. I blame the MP and their new DLC tactics for leaving us a tad bit underwhelmed. GTA V, I feel was more eye-candy than anything else, but it was totally worth it for me. I agree the story was not as strong as IV, but GTA V is superior in many other aspects.

Hits the needle...err...the nail on the head. Just look at all the wild speculations about future DLCs...most people enjoyed the SP experience in GTA V, but it also left them kinda hungry. It´s great, but it feels there´s something missing.

The thing that really frustrated me is that GTA V really excelled in areas that needed improvement from GTA IV. The graphics were amazing, and it was good have back robbing stores and business properties back, and random encounters/events. I'm not fully satisfied with V so far, but it is what it is. I've finished the story and that is that so far me. I hope this SP DLc will greatly improve the experience, but I'm not holding my breath.

@ Dr Ray

Like Proletariat said, for most part it's just eye candy, even though it is a good game. Looking at the whole game's foundation, there is no denying that it could have been 10 times better than it is now.

Again General: from my observations, you just harbour so much bitterness that this game didn't provide all of that gangsta stuff for you. You can label me repetitive all you wish, but you don't do much to help your case when that's all I see you complain about 90% of the time. You constantly harp on about your hate for Trevor for some of the dumbest reasons imo (too scruffy...too violent etc), and it only leads me to believe your resentment for him derives from his mocking of Franklin and that subject, and how he stole the limelight over a theme you'd led yourself to believe V was going to have substantial focus on.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, and you certainly have your moments of forming reasonable grievances, but for the most part it just comes off as blind hate, and over the top justifications that every little nook & cranny made this game so terrible. You keep repeating that this game could've been 10x better, and should've had this and should've had that, and should've had every other last thing you think these 8 year old machines are capable of handling. Say what you will, but R* quite evidently squeezed every last ounce of juice out of these consoles, and produced a game that ran impressively smooth for the amount of content and complexity it had....and you expect more?!

R* chose a new criminal enterprise to tackle - get over it.

Gangs and the ilk took a back seat, for once - get over it.

Trevor was a character written to provide sheer entertainment - get over it.

R* had ambition and innovation with this game - get over it.

The last gen consoles simply can't cater to your unrealistic expectations - get over it.

V has proved to be very enjoyable and greatly received by the overwhelming majority of the fans - get over it.

If this post comes off as a little hostile, then my apologies; as like I said, you have your reasonable and constructive moments. But when I just see the same old tired posts of over-the-top demands and self entitlement, along with the amount of times you look for every little thing to complain about before blowing it way out of proportion in yet another attempt to justify your overall bitterness; it simply gets under my skin.

I get under your skin ? Errr, yeah whatever, you're one of my biggest fans on here. I know you always rub your hands in excitement whenever I post anything, because your right there eagerly waiting to instantly reply.

This in particular got my interest :

You constantly harp on about your hate for Trevor for some of the dumbest reasons imo (too scruffy...too violent etc), and it only leads me to believe your resentment for him derives from his mocking of Franklin and that subject, and how he stole the limelight over a theme you'd led yourself to believe V was going to have substantial focus on.

I sometimes wonder if you have too much time on your hands to even sit down and think about this to come to such a conclusion. Seriously, I'm laughing at this right now, because it's complete bullsh*t. Look :

* I hate Trevor, and I gave my reasons already. You think they are dumb ? Fine. Still does not change anything.

* No that's rubbish, I could not care less about how Trevor mocks Franklin, and to be honest I did not even get that, I must have missed it all. Franklin kills Trevor anyway, so that alone cancels out your silly and ridiculous theory.

* Trevor stole the limelight ? Maybe for your and others, not for me. What matters to me is what I think, and I just think Trevor was a terrible protagonist, end of. Even if Franklin was not in the game, I would have still hated Trevor, he's everything I'd hate in a protagonist in any game, let alone GTA. If the game had fully met my expectations, trust me I'd happy for Trevor to take all the limelight in the game.

* I did not want GTA V to have a lot of focus on gangsta/hood stuff, I wanted a decent amount of it on Franklin's part, not to dominate the whole game. I've told you this many times, I'm not repeating that again to you.

Believe it whether you want to or not, it's up to you.

@ Cicero

Thanks, but my views over Trevor remain the same. I hate him and you like him, let's just leave it at that.

Less missions... But there are dozens of side missions, GTAOnline (not a fan), and DLC is coming... And PS4 is coming too, and I believe!
