Tanks - Now Charged Insurance/BS?

I just shelled three PV's in a row during one run, got BS/insurance hit on all three. WTF.

 

R* needs to clarify tanks and what does/doesn't get bs/insurance.

Tanks have always been bad sport when you shoot out of them into a PV...what doesn't count is when you're stand still and someone tries to ram into you with their PV

Tanks have always been bad sport when you shoot out of them into a PV...what doesn't count is when you're stand still and someone tries to ram into you with their PV

I've wasted an awful lot of PV's in the past few weeks without paying insurance/BS. I've paid the rare insurance over the last few weeks, but there did not appear to be rhyme or reason - sometimes I'd pay for a car standing still, sometimes not. A few times I'd have to pay when I shelled a car, mostly I didn't. I was in a session where I had to pay back-to-back-to-back.

 

Oy, I'm not saying it's bad, I would love less tanks and would be perfectly fine if tanks were removed. I would just like to know one way or the other what is what, because there isn't consistency. As a sometime tank user and as a person who drives, I'd like to know whether I'm paying if I'm in a tank (and if so, when do I pay) and two, if I'm driving and someone shells my car with a tank, are they paying.

i shot out one of my crewmembers cars once by mistake with a tank, hit it right on, no badsport or insurence claim. i felt bad, i just kill cops with tank.

As much as i love tank griefers 'because they are an awesome target for my Jet' i'm glad to see something changed. Its been Grand Pegasus Tank for the last few weeks.

you don't get badsport warning when you blow them with jet. only if you smash into them with your pv.

They clarified as soon as they found out that it was an unintended result of removing the bad sport warning from players crashing into the tank and explained they were working on it.

Never had a problem to stop and fire before a car racing super fast towards me, or have a problem with some one shooting 1 rocket at me.

People may be stupid enough to come at you in a car but getting on a roof and using a sniper is a much easier solution.

I blew up more than a few PV's and didn't have to pay or deal with any BS warnings.

im in my tank all the time now. im constantly blowing up pvs and rarely do i pay any insurance. id rather us jerks in tanks pay for blasting someones car. but it seems completely at random if you pay insurance or not.

 

blew up the same player and i nailed his adder 3 times and only paid once. all chrome supercars must die.

the patch notes say one thing but anyone that used a tank know that is not true.

 

tanks were able to shoot or driver over any PV without any consequence 'til past monday/tuesday that something changed in the game and it started to charge Insurance/BS to the tankers.

 

R* really need to set the rules for tank once and for all, they cant keep changing the rules of the game every now and then.

 

i dont care about tank as i only use mine to destroy tank griefers but for the sake of those that use the tank, they really need to clarify what you can/cant do with a tank.

Next up, Rockstar should remove the tanks entirely from (public) freemode games, or just remove the tanks from being used entirely (outside of missions where they spawn). All cash should be reimbursed, too.
