They obviously don't want the best game of the year to win the award, so they choose some other rubbish games. ign and gamespot are a set of nob heads all there good for is getting gameplay on new games but that's it there reviews are utter sh*te and this little show that fat slob Greg has got on ign is f*cking crap he's a c*nt and he tries to be funny when in actual fact he's not he doesn't realise people are laughing at him not with him. Yes I'm being harsh but Exactly.but what people dont get is GTA 5 won 3 world know awards and nominateed for many and also got 300 Perfect scores including IGN-orant.Let's not forget the $1 BILLION! It earnt in 3 days Exactly.Which made Every Game competiting with the Franchise useless,1bn in 3 days(72 f*ing hours),it took Black ops 2 15 days to ge a billion even Ghost that was expected to beat GTA 5 record "FAILED". Maybe next time Rockstar releases a GTA game, they won't let the morons at IGN or Giant bomb play it before it's released. All they did was complain about the game, I don't know why they let them play it early. This is the most idiotic, fanboy biased statement I have ever heard. GTA V hardly works. Online is a complete mess, and the only good part of single player is heists, which is done better in games that focus on it. They tried to add stealth features that failed terribly. I own GTA V and TLOU, and with the latter being awarded GOTY does not make feel like some moist little 13 year old Justin Bieber fangirl. It is what it is. Not being an asshole but I just don't see why its a big deal. Its not the end of the world because GTA V didn't get that award. Its an excellent game (IMO) but its also a game with flaws and short-comings. In the eyes of IGN and probably many others, on or off this board, TLOU did things better than GTA V did. I don't think TLOU did anything better than GTA V did. I haven't played that game and I don't plan to, I don't think it looks good and I think it's very overrated. Any game naughty dog makes seems to always be just average and everyone seems to overrate it. I think it's because PS3 doesn't have a lot of great exclusives, I do like some of their exclusive games but they are all pretty much just average games. I too play it all the time. However, the game is a mess and didn't deserve GOTY. I'm not necessarily saying the winners did, but GTA V is just too broken to win it. Just because I like it, doesn't mean it didn't fail in many aspects. The part about "when a GTA game gets released, it should win GOTY" is just a complete fanboy post. Face the facts; there will be games better then GTA. There are many different companies, with many different talents. Too many backwards steps, in my opinion. I see three protags as a sideways move, not a jump ahead. Getting rid of things people enjoyed and putting in things that leaves people scratching their heads? Just wonderful. More shallow character development? Right on! So with 100% prejudice, I can say Skyrim--hell anything TES originated---would be the superior game. Even if this is a completely unfair comparison since it's SP. The guys at IGN and Gamespot eventually saw through the gloss and realized this, and decided that GTA V did not deserve the title of GOTY. A game should only get the GOTY award if it does in fact deserve it, in the view of the reviewer, regardless of previous installments.
