I have used 2300 cheats or something like that. That was when I was stupid and didn't know what it was like to finish a game without cheats. devilrock28
Alright, I'm playing it through again to see when it freezes. So far it's only frozen once. Last time I tried to play again Running Dog and Beach Party were not cooperating with me and froze everytime I tried to complete them. Hopefully now they don't freeze. I checked for scratches on the CD and I realized there has to be at least 50 scratches on it. Don't know where they came from though.
lil weasel
You didn't say what platform. So it you're having a problem with specific missions on PC download those games from the pnp help forum and see if they crash. then you don't have to play all the way through just to be disapointed. If they work then carryon with a new start game.

My saves with 67% are on my PS2 memory card though. But whatever.
SarahPilko
If you were to buy it again, I say you should get it for PC version. 1000000000000000000000 times better than PS2 version. Better graphics You can mod it You can edit Fixed bugs/glitches Multiplayer function can be added and to be honest.. More fun, supposely because of the mods and the graphics xD GTA SA RAWKS <
devilrock28
Well, my computer is almost completely full so I can't use it on my desktop. Unless I buy a laptop or a new desktop, that's not an option.

Vinnie
Well, my computer is almost completely full so I can't use it on my desktop. Unless I buy a laptop or a new desktop, that's not an option. Well why not just get a larger hard drive or a secondary drive, or remove junk, if you really don't need it disabling system restore can give you huge amounts of space back. If HD space is the limiter, how about getting a USB Flash Drive 1+ gig for about $19.00US. I can't say I'd recommend that solution, Flash Drives will be increadibly slow compared to an Internal (or even external HDD) and then you have to consider the write cycles to it if you're going to modify the game. Not to mention it won't be as reliable and could be prone to crashing. You'd need to buy an expensive, branded reliable flash drive over 6GB For SA To run reliably on which case you'd probably be best and cheaper getting another HDD. I'll look into a flash drive with more space or an HDD. I have a external hard drive but it's messed up and it's hard to put things on it. It doesn't hold much either. devilrock28
I'll look into the PC version. I looked it up online and saw that it's cheaper than the PS2 version in Best Buy. The PS2 version is $19.99 and the PC version is $9.99. Sorry guys, but I have another question. How much space did the PC version take up on your computer? There are two big San Andreas Mods: SA-MP MTA Both are very good and enjoyable, but you need V1 of the GTASA.exe file to play.
NickRad
I was wondering is this worth it for Pc. Is the mp good and is modding easy? Thanks
NinjaWJ
yes i think it is worth it!! well for me it was because my ps2 broke like 3-4 years ago and i was dying for some nostalgic GTA action so i got the PC version. Personally i haven't played multi theft auto yet but beware the second edition (V2) of GTASA isnt compatible with mods however you can downgrade your version so it is compatible with mods. GTASA has tons of mods out there so if you are into that stuff i suggest you get GTA!
IMarwanI
if your going to get GTA SA get the 1.0 version and you can download a program called "SA-MP" which makes GTA SA multiplayer
Pooka Mustard
Get the first version of it, like what the above said. Of course, modding is not implemented in the second version, but I heard in Glenster's guide (found on GameFAQs.com), that you can have the second version mod-able, and mod it with the first version's mod. Not sure if that will work with you.
Conbolical
You can't buy the V1 in stores. Just buy the original game (V2) and if your going to mod then download the patch to V1 Simple.

I did bought V1 from a local store nearby. WIth "stores", you mean some like eBay, and Amazon. We're looking for those in local game stores, not those big sites. Conbolical
I thought all V1s got a recall back in 05. I bought mine in 06. Hence why i don't have V1.
DylRicho
Hell yeah, I'd recommend getting it for PC. As for the modding, I don't think it's that difficult once you know what you're doing, but if you want to mod, you need the first version of the game. No matter if you get version 2 like me, you can downgrade it with a patch to version 1. V1 isn't available in shops now, unless you're getting it from places like eBay or Amazon, but V2 should still be available in popular gaming shops, since the game is ranked as one of the best of all time. The additional downloadable multiplayer feature is good too. Judging by the fun the videos look on the sampdev YouTube channel, I say go for it. Multiplayer is free to download too. Dog 0f War
Like all members above, i completely agree. You should get the game, and the V1 version. Single player is long, with various and exciting missions (especially the last ones), and SA-MP should prolong the expirience. As for modding, it's easy to install modes, and relatively easy to mod if you know what you are doing. If both SP and MP bore you, you can just mess around and discover new things to do. DylRicho
Yeah if you've never played it before, wow are you missing something. There are like almost 150 vehicles in the game, if not more, the single player storyline is pretty long and entertaining (and since it's on PC, it'll make it more of a challenge with the controls), and you'll also get really into this storyline. There are tonnes of things to do in this game as well. Dylan
