She's a woman now, so she can freely choose how she wants to portray herself to the world and that's fine with me...if this is who she was all along then cool. If not, well, she's a brilliant actor and clearly knows how the entertainment world works. Plus, I wouldn't want to always be called Hannah Montana either and have my fan base made up of little children. Not to mention the shallowness of using an engagement just so she could sell more albums is actually sickening if that is the truth! If think she is just at that age where everything she thinks does and believes is the truth or is the correct course of action it's called naivety. I think it's a simple case of she does what she thinks is a good idea then somehow manages to mop up the mess afterwards. Truth be told, no matter what you think of her, homegirl can SING! You cant say someone with a powerful voice like that has no talent. (Just like Idont like Justin Bieber on a personal level but I agree he can sing). And its proven that she is only trolling us and in control of this because if you seen when she hosted SNL shortly after the vmas and she performed Wrecking Ball, it was very tame and she just sat in a chair the whole time, simply just singing, nothing outrageous at all. I have no idea if she did the engagement thing on purpose, but celebs are known to do sh*t like that. They hold off on big news so as to group the publicity together. I'm just curious to know why so many people think she's such an untalented slut. It's all I hear here in the states. Nobody will shut up about her, on social media, in person, nothing. Maybe we're all boring sh*ts here, but it's just amazing that this girl has taken over the media how she has, and she's really not doing anything that's that bad. Well i can't take away the fact that whatever she has been doing she's doing it right! the fact that you guys are talking about it loads shows that. Too many people obsessed with celebs and to many that want to judge even i'm guilty of it at some point. I think the main trouble is every person has different standards and things they find acceptable. Some will frown and some will clap. how does the old saying go? Any publicity is good publicity (unless you're involved in the Jimmy Saville investigation). The main reason people hate her though is this: You Can't milk those! Eh, there's no sanctity in marriage any more (implying there ever actually was ). If Panz's allegation is true, Miley is pretty late to the party of getting engaged/married for the sake of publicity. I'm pretty sure there are phone contracts that involve more commitment than celebrity relationships. And for the people saying Miley is a bad role model for girls, when was the last time you went around murdering people because you saw Tommy Vercetti or Trevor Philips doing it? Besides if there was a causality between popstars' lives and the behaviour of children, I'd be more worried about situations like Rihanna: teaching kids it's okay to stay with an abusive partner. If it was a choice, I'd much rather every girl stayed safely at home licking construction tools like Miley. In the studio and on the CD, they sound amazing, but try hearing them at a live concert and you'll see the difference. She can't sing. She isn't tone deaf (picks up around 2:40): I always used to think she was talentless, but you'd be surprised how good this is compared to the other pop stars out there.
