Private numberplate suddenly not working?

just found a schafter and im over the moon, however i went and put the private plate option on only to look and see it hasnt actually given me my plate but just some random letters and numbers like when you first get it, any ideas on how i can fix this or anyone else encountered it?

Yer I had that a couple of days ago, it is fixed but not sure how. I know that the timezone on my PS3 was wrong so I changed that but not sure why that would affect it, also went back into iFruit and bought a different color plate, sent the order through and it was OK after that.

weird, the sending the order through thing was what i thought would work but i haven't received the order even after restarting the console
