Error drops rank to 1. What is still there?

Recently, I seemed to have some issue with the cloud, rendering my rank 113 character at rank 1. All other statistics are intact, but it will take me to the intro if a load the character.

 

Rockstar support is slow, and I fear they could ultimately just leave me hanging. In the meantime, I'm wondering what I can do without compromising potential recovery?

 

My big concern is my cars. I understand I can't access my apartment, as owning one isn't unlocked yet, but does my character have the data of the cars still saved to them?

 

Any input, or even guesses are appreciated. I'm just hesitant to proceed, but I have that underlying feeling that I might as well get started... again.

Honestly, if your cars are gone, they're gone. Rockstar probably wont bring them back for you.

That being said, unless EVERYTHING on your character went back to level 1 (like your stats and stuff), I think there is a good chance your cars are okay. You might not be able to access them until you get a garage that is large enough, though. (like how if you go from a 10 car to a 2 car, you can only access the first two cars, but when you go back to the 10 car garage, everything is still there)

I mean, I hope it would work like that.

Did you illegitimately obtain the level 113? This is only the a forum, no need to BS us. But my guess is that you were knocked down purposely by Rockstar since it coincidentally matches up with the release of the 1.09 patch.... In which case, I wouldn't expect to get any of the falsely obtained items or vehicles back.

He told me its grayed out all the time, he tried buying a new appartment and all that but nothing gives. He said it happend soon after a few people where spawn killing him and blowing up his cars with a tanks. He then died, the game froze and when he returned to online again after a hard reboot, mechanic was gone.

ill love to have that glitch... yesterday i called him to have my sandking delivered at vinewood lsc... that f*cker simply keep driving ALL THE WAY up to paleto bay.

a little while ago when it was possible to run out of money and when it was time to pay you're dues (cleaner, mechanic etc bills) if you had no money they would quit. there is a fix (or was) but thats as much as i know.

Yup, from what I've read this is a cloud thing. Don't redo the intro for now, just keep checking back every so often, if I remember correctly some people found that their rank was restored after a while.

 

Have you check R* social club to see of it's still listing your cars on there?

a little while ago when it was possible to run out of money and when it was time to pay you're dues (cleaner, mechanic etc bills) if you had no money they would quit. there is a fix (or was) but thats as much as i know.

I couldn't pay mine once and the mechanic just wouldn't answer not disapeared out of my contacts. Went back to normal after the next time the bills fell due and I paid them.

Contact R* Support with the details, they may be able to do something.

 

I was lvl 67, lost all my Rank, Stats & Cars; none of it was recovered but R* did put my new character back up to Rank 75.

I did contact them. I mentioned it in the first post.

 

Illegitimate? I would hope the 13 days played as the character, and my 20+ hours racing should cover that.

 

Thanks for the input. I guess maybe I should just get to working on my guy again. Not much else to do in the cheaters pool, so golfing by myself seems fitting...

I'd suggest, as others have, of really waiting to see what R* can do. Bummer - I feel bad for the OP. Highlights that it seems like you have to be careful with the game - how you save, etc.

 

I think they may not be able to restore but it seems like they can "gift" RP to get you to a level. You may have to be persistent, though.

I have all my tinted guns, and can purchase it all still, I have my apartment still with all my rides. I'm gonna surprise the sh*t out of people when I pull out my RPG. lol

 

.... Uh-oh... I just realized something-- people will most likely report me a cheater. lol wtf...

Can't call for mercs, muggers or bounties. Can put any upgrades on vehicles, including 100% armor.

 

I've assumed it before, too, but I guess low ranks with high-rank stuff aren't always a "Hacker!"... lol

this seems to be quite common....

 

yesterday I saw a guy with lvl 4 or 5 shooting with a grenade launcher at me, plus he was throwing stickies all over the place.... this couldn't be just some left ammo from a survival mission.... I thought he was a cheater
