Post your favorite ambush spots and safe havens

My 'safe haven' for waiting out Bounties is the sub. Pretty much untouchable if you go deep enough, and it doesn't matter if everyone knows where you are. I've watched wrecked Lazers sink past me after the pilots failed to pull out of their dive-bomb. No one can free-dive that deep - about the only thing you have to watch out for is someone coming down in another sub packed with stickies (which, of course, you've already done to your own sub - 'sour grapes' clause). Boring as hell, tho - been a while since I've done it. Might try that Clock Tower out...

 

I found a great spot for Cop Wars (the name I give to that thing we all used to do before they made it a game mode and called it 'Survival') - the Vespucci LSPD Station, ironically. In the back lot where the tank spawns there's a staircase - it's the only way up to an enclosed alcove - you sit behind the block at the top of the steps and hold the cops off for pretty much as long as you want. Not so good for PvP, as they'd just spam in grenades.

Anyone else notice, one of the big hangers in the back of the airport has a sealed off room containing a PC and 2 laptops identical to the ones in your apartment or garage, same background on the screen too.

 

May be nothing, or a sign of things to come?

There's a PC in the Mission Row Police Station, and you can actually use it to go online. I've bought cars in there before now with the cops outside going mad and trying to kill me

Some Day ago, in the middle of a Fight.. i found a Garage near the enterable Bank and Ammu Nation.. somewhere there

open and close automatically..

but i didnt found it again..

 

I wanna use them to pre-order my Tank, and park there..

coze its better when somebody wanna grief me there, when i can enter my Tank surpisely.. and not at the Bank.

The garage in Vinewood hills from the Epsilon car missions is open but it's to small for a tank. Same goes for this one near the beach, although it's usefull to park your car in when you go sniping from the clocktower. You can basejump straight to it.

And you can only leave your tank in the open for about 15 minutes before Pegasus takes it back.

the lsc on the east side of town has a ramp from street level, there is actually a door sized hole under the ramp. people assume your on the highway above, not under the road. great spot for hiding/ambushing that lsc.

When people have bountys at the 400,000 $ apartment there are some bushes outside the garage. Great place to fake you are going in your apartment and a good place to get people coming out of the garage

Nice thread. Yeah, i've held down the rockford plaza a few times. Sniped a guy out of a buzzard right after i unlocked the sniper. It felt good lol because he was terrorizing everyone. I love going through the sewers. I pretty much know all the ins and outs and with it being narrow, you can set sticky traps(although id rather just confuse someone and get them lost).

That reminds me. Ive always had the del perro apartment. I love when people camp outside my garage and i exit the apartment through the front door and go around them and blam lol

Since reading this thread I've got + 250 kills in the spot in the OP. Once you're up that ladder you are untouchable (but keep your eyes open for grenades).

My favorite sniping location is Richard's Majestic. From there, nearly every player that drives through west Los Santos is exposed. I've been able to snipe people all the way at the Eclipse towers.

 

For evading bounties, there is a high rise in downtown Vinewood that has nice high walls enclosing the roof top area. Its located across the street from one of the safehouses.

I had a 9k bounty on me. So I took a ride in the tram. Best safehaven ever

This place is just purely wonderful, If your going to ambush someone it works quite well, and it also does good for survival against police.

 

 

The front of the place, looks pretty normal, can ambush people willing to just go for grocery's like the beer and cigarettes here.

The lower area, really not advised for an ambush unless cop survival, as cops can magically walk though solid doors if you're planning on police survival get someone behind that counter for safety.

The upper area, this place is expandable and it's very easy for players to get around inside, your only problem is grenades but there are a few walls and a stairway going down that you can practically be carefree from grenades.

One of my mates, hiding up by the window known for entrance, practically no-one can get up unless there's an object they can use to climb, but even then if you've got the upstairs windows watched, you're practically safe.
