This enclosed garage area by the Ammu-Nation in Little Seoul:

0_0.jpg

Perfect for cinematic crew meetups and trapping pursuing victims

Area is closed off on three sides, only one way in or out via vehicle.

A few inside ladders link to surrounding rooftops, with no outer ladders allowing you to get flanked:

0_0.jpg

This is the entrance, that gate on the right is barely climbable, but since the area is on higher ground you'll see them coming from a mile away:

I have explored the map extensively and I LOVE that I still read cool sh*t like this I never knew. I have never seen that place in Little Seoul but I'm definitely going to check that out. Thank you for actually posting a thread worth clicking on!

No problem buddy. I figured I'd do something worthwhile amidst all this patch/mod/hack/car craziness

Yeah, like this glitch i know but not gonna tell, its really awesome and stuff but nobody knows it and most likely will never know. Its not game-breaking but it sure would cause a lot of ruckus if it was spread all over the internets right now.

Admittedly I hate this particular spot, but have to admit it's a great vantage point and base-of-operations for high-flyers and snipers alike. Plenty of room for multiple choppers and an excellent vantage point for the Los Santos Customs in San Vitus Boulevard:

0_0.jpg

The multi-level ladder is an explosive expert's wet dream for slow climbers to the top as well as the the ladder in the background makes for a plan-b escape:

Said view of LSC:

Pretty well known location, but the rooftop may not be.

Biohazard Abyss

I hope that Tailgater isn't what you're using to get to your safe-haven.

If so, you won't be making it there in one piece, lol.

except that if there are multiple people who know you are there, it only takes a minute to sneak up there off the radar.

i would not consider rooftops ambush spots in this game unless you have a team set up all over the block to cordone the area and make one big ambush block.

which would almost require tanks in this game to ensure no one gets past the cordoned area while driving 200 mph on the streets to avoid your fire from the roof. or hugging the building to where you cannot view them without exposing yourself.

Oh no, this is all done on a photography/cruising day. Rest assured I have my dream garage with a vehicle for every occasion ;)

Excellent.

I was really hoping you weren't those Tailgater owners who lie to themselves that it's a great car for missions/crews/etc, haha!

Wonderful-looking car, just really lacks kick.

I did mention it was more suitable as a crow's nest. As for the off-the-radar issue that higher level second to the foreground is great for watching all three ladders as well as still having suitable cover

Still, I'd imagine it's best for you + three amigos

Another spot here, hands down my favorite sniping location. Not really an ambush spot, but I figured I'd reach out to different playing fields. By the ammu-nation on Elgin Avenue:

0_0.jpg

Only way up is by the fire escape ladder, which again is perfect for planting stickies and the off-hand molotov for you pyromaniacs! Ac unit makes for decent cover from buzzards on the horizon and plenty of space to dodge while you toss back some projectiles of your own

Also comes with a functional garage to store your vehicle for some PV protection and a more immersive experience:

0_0.jpg

Only issue is a neighboring building that you may be picked off from, but provided you are alert enough to realize they're making their way up you'll have no problem. It will take over a minute to reach the neighboring building, so that's a quick breath from off-the-radar phantoms.

View from Ammu-nation (in my experience people tend to head to it and try to immediately snipe you from the corner of it. 9 times out of 10 this is in your favor)

I held this spot down for a good 20+ minutes sniping people, had two groups of guys landing on nearby building so they could try to snipe me back lol.

I guess noone really has interesting locations to share, so I'll post up one last quickie

"Somewhere in Bunhan Canyon" :

0_0.jpg

Not much to say on this one, I'll leave it up to the explorers. A few excellent corners make for an almost Metal Gear Solid ambush location. Solid area to lock down, relatively high up from approaching drivers, save for the long roadway (which is a veritable playground for stickybombers and Combat Mg'ers.

Another view:

Have fun with this one

I found a new favorite spot so this is my old one.

It's the clocktower near the beach. You can snipe one-shot-one-kill everybody in a vehicle inside the circle. Players getting into their tank on the beach or at the police station nearby never know what hit them. In the tower you're completely protected against jets, buzzards, tanks and rpg's. And the roof is just big enough for the merryweather chopper to land on.

Make sure you shoot out the clock lights at night and wear something dark. Happy hunting

someone tried following me after i destroyed my tank one day and i saw them going to this position. my tank was at the beach so i knew i was f*cked....

so i went around the pier and came out under it, hiding by the surf and wooden beams (i called lester first too)

this jackass was just standing there, no cover, out on the edge of the roof.

one shot kill, and then i made sure he felt it when i got my tank. (btw he started the whole war by blowing my car up, following me, and attempting to run me over as soon as i spawned.... but only got 1 kill the whole time)

i stopped at least 3 times to set him up on the way.... each time, flawless victory.

thanks for sharing the common rooftop escape though... everyone thinks they are safe on a wide open roof, but you are really just trapped up there.

I usually escape with a chute although there's a ladder on the eastside. But it takes forever to reach the ground that way.
And a good sniper never stays in the same position after a kill shot. I just move around the tower, use off the radar or hide inside the tower while looking at the map.

awesome. this is tactial playing. i like this thread, and even though i have no spots that i would ever share, i enjoy finding new ones or at least ones that other people think they are safe in.

so many snipers need your lessons and training.

shoot move communicate kill

and thats cool you can hide inside the tower... i will have to give it a try even though im possibly the worst sniper this game has ever seen.

There's a building northwest of rockford plaza has a curved wall on the roof. Provides an excellent view of both the central lsc rooftops and also the plaza.

Recently were 3 ppl on the lsc roof gunning down any vehicle that came close floor covered in sticky bombs. So went to rockford plaza and kept sniping them. After 8 or 9 kills a gun fight ensued on the plaza roof so I went to the northwest rooftop off the radar and started sniping them off the plaza.

Other favorites include the subways and even some stores are good to hold your ground. 1 guy shot at me as I drove past so stoped down the street and sniped him. Got back in my car carried on driving. Then he put a 9grand bounty on me and said I qas gonna die. So him and 4 others from this crew tagged weed or something started hunting me down. Killed 3 then saw 2 tanks so dived into binco into the changing rooms at the back and shotgunned anyone who came in the door. Got well over 30 kills in total and survived my bounty.

That's something I forgot to cover. Down in the tunnels you escape through during the first heist in SP there is a secret tunnel that seems inaccessible, but you can actually blow off the metal bars.

There's actually quite a few rooftops around that area where you can get a good look of LSC. But those pics have the highest elevation

There's a building near LSC in the heart of LS that is only reachable by flying. It has a good vantage point and you can jump into the center of the building for cover. We fly tanks up there and you can cover the whole square of LSC from there

I don't have a pic atm but if I have a bounty I like going to the docks and holding out on the big container ship. There's a bunch of places to hide. Its also good if you have a clan of creepers on you're tail.
