This game is so realistic that I can't see for sh*t at night, just like in real life.

but unlike real life, you can just turn your brightness up

What's going on with all the double posts?

it was happening to me in a PM earlier

I put it on my advanced rifle so you see that fabled bright white light before you die.

No, my tv is bright enough and the flashlights are irritating imo. They also make me an easier target. I got rid of this sh*t.

Does anyone else also need to put their head lights on high beam to see anything at all? I can't see anything in those tunnels. I call myself lucky while doing The Commute only to smash into one black car in that section under the freeway.

does it not (along with the scope) assist your auto aim in certain conditions. at least thats what i was told. nothing official though.

Actually, I have no clue. It should be blocked by the flood filter, but it's still doing it.

It just adds flare when ever I try and shoot people. Especially as it's a third person view so I can't get an accurate view of my reticule on my target.

I only have it equipped of weapons I never use for when I need a flash light for whatever reason.

Speaking of lighting, I hate that killstreak effect which makes everything bright as f*ck. I'm good at DMs so I get it every damn time

^ Yeah that kill-streak sh*t is annoying as f*ck, distracts you when you're on a roll.

Fair enough..

I like flashlights. They save me half a second or so in targeting folks using them, and without that I'm sure I'd die more often.

you need to configure your tv settings to be more compatable with the brightness settings in gta then... cuz that sounds horrible. i drive without lights most the time, and i use a different configuration for other games. it's only gta that its either too bright or too dark so i found a medium and thats what started this poll... because i think headlights and flashlights are horrible in this game. NEXT GEN would have been awesome though....

exactly why i played deathmatch one time, and never again. which is another thing they f*cked up on. why on earth would anyone want their vision impared or screen discolored during a deathmatch? come on rockstar..... (again)

You can see enemy's flashlight?

I remember when the online release day one I playing with my friends and I saw him keep pointing the gun at me, then he whatsapp me ask can I see him or it works like in BF, and I said I can't see any light coming out.

I think the flashlight is just visible for yourself.

I can't see anyone else's flashlights and they can't see mine either.. I thought it was just an overlay effect..

I like playing with a more realistic brightness level.

I like playing with a more realistic brightness level.

so do i, very much.

but not at the cost of as someone above you said, not being able to see in a tunnel that should have lights in it, or a car until its too late. that is waaaaay too dark.

when i play SP, i turn brightness IN GAME down a little. so many more visuals than online. GTAO is like a vanilla basic in terms of lighting. not much going on, so i would rather see other silent seriel killers a mile away, rather than 100 feet in front of me.

I put it on my main weapons back when I thought there was a point. I always turn it off to not telegraph my position but sometimes I signal friends or teammates with it.

Edit: don't know about enemies but I've definitely seen ally lights.

1. I use flashlights on some weapons, not others; it's useful to actually distract a player because unlike some jamokes, I actually strafe when I shoot and don't stand in one spot. The flashlight can be a useful tool in creating a blind spot where the victim can't target properly. Could it affect the victim's auto-aim targeting? Not sure. I use it when necessary, but most often I simply click the right directional to turn it off. I use it most in Survival missions and when spelunkering.

2. If I'm flying around in my Buzzard or a jet at night, I look for one thing: Xenon lights. They are the symbol for "here I am, please come destroy my everything." Can't tell you how many times I've gone off-radar and struck thunder from above on poor souls who simply don't get the whole "shut your headlights off" concept.

When upgrading cars, reconsider the Xenon upgrade. It's not worth being spotted like a sperm whale in a kiddie pool. Just saying. ;)

The thing I hate about the flashlights is that they are by default on. They should be off by default, especially during the day.

If you're playing last stand and it's dark. I have to turn it off otherwise I get raped with people who use shotgun with suppressor(happened to me alot lol).

Vicarious Mind

I have them but turn them off unless if im in a Tunnel somewhere which is rare. The glare and light normally distracts me and gets me killed a lot.
