strictly flashlights, not any other attachments. im curious to see how many people realize how much of an easy target you are with a bright light on your weapon... i mean, enjoy using flashlights.

If you do a free aim survival at the sawmill, and you're hiding inside the sawmill, it gets really dark sometimes. Having a flashlight there is very usefull....

I voted some weapons. I haven't bothered with all weapons but I actually do use the attachment just as a torch, sometimes even when I'm not planning on shooting anyone in the face. This game is so realistic that I can't see for sh*t at night, just like in real life.

I think I have it on one of my guns, it actually is a little useful in survival mode otherwise it's just there. I would not say it's too much of a disadvantage either, just try not to have it on everything if you like it.

Nope. They started to piss me off so I removed them all.

this game does not need flashlights to see in the darkness.

or maybe my $1800 tv just wants to show off. either way, a little adjustment to the brightness in game and it should be perfect... not too dark, not unrealistically bright.

jk my tv sucks.

You realize that you can turn the flashlights on and off on the weapons right? What a pointless poll

what? everytime you use a weapon with a flashlight it automatically comes on. there is only turning them off at first.

which means, a flashlight during day time hours, and any other time you would never need a flashlight on a weapon to be on.

so no, and thanks for the not so well thought about before i spoke input.

So you posted this thread to see how people feel about flashlights going on during the day? The 1 second it takes to pull a gun out and press left on the D-Pad hardly seems like it'd be the deciding factor in the purchase if you ask me.....

You can see enemy's flashlight?

I remember when the online release day one I playing with my friends and I saw him keep pointing the gun at me, then he whatsapp me ask can I see him or it works like in BF, and I said I can't see any light coming out.

I think the flashlight is just visible for yourself.

I know that in SP I have seen NPC flinch when bringing the gun with flashlight up to the aim position like they were blinded by it, giving maybe a fraction of a second to get the shot in. I have also had them look sideways as I shot the guy next to them.

Isn't everyone an easy target on auto aim OP?

fair enough.. i knew someone from free aim would come in..

but not really what i was getting at with aiming techniques (because free aim can still be applied in auto aim by not fully squeezing the aim button) but mostly because it has nothing to do with flashlights.

and thanks marco, for the how to on turning on/off flashlights if you do have them equipped.

however, i do not think a flashlight should come on unless you turn it on first.

can anyone confirm the flashlight not visible to others while aiming? i always thought i was a more visible target with a light on my weapon. thanks in advance.

I wish the option you left the flashlight with was kept.

As in, if you turned it off, it stayed off until you turn it on. I mean, I like auto-on flashlights, but that's how you get killed in horror movies.

Don't mind the flashlight. Can turn it off if it is a bother.

Auto-aim doesn't help, when I'm perched up on Eclipse Towers.

They're annoying. They bring no benefit to me so I just unequip them. there's no point to them imo

for me if the games is dark enough for a flashlight its almost too dark everywhere else. i like realism but for this game in online play, its just too dark.

next gen consoles would have solved that issue, and made flashlights not such a pain in the ass by actually providing light where needed.

Flashlights are only useful in FPS games. I was killed on Battlefield by someone using a flashlight on a dark level a lot. They blind your vision on those games on but on here they just make you a target. Useful for single player mode but not online.

Couple of my guns have them, not all though. Find them handy when trying to do gang attacks in darker places.

i have in my carbine and have no problem turning off the light.

its hard to get a headshot when the other person have a flashlight pointing at you hahaha

some of us prefer to be high in building sniping, autoaim have nothing to do in that case...

even know modders have sniper rifles that lock on people.

I like putting it on even though I have brightness on max.

How much conspicuous can I be anyway?
