The patch has been out for what, 24 hours? I don't think you guys have a big enough sample size yet to claim they made some sort of change with tailgater availability. It's a fairly rare care to begin with, you might just be having a string of bad luck.

i agree, i will just keep looking for it to confirm is still there (as it should since Simeon somtimes ask you for it in a text)

It's EXTREMELY rare but I think I can at least improve your chances. I myself, spent virtually an entire day searching to replace the one that randomly disappeared from my garage last week! Anyway, I have seen it in only 3 places but I know of 4 that it spawns. And note (unless they changed it with this patch) it will NEVER be driving, it's always parked.

 

1- I have seen it spawn in the parking lot of the movie studio (the sunken in area that looks almost like a drained pool). If you enter the studio going east to west it's almost immediately on your right and it will be parked towards the back right.

 

2- I have seen it at the marina down by the helicopter tours place. It spawns in the row of spots closest to the water (NOT the parallel parking spots).

 

3- I have seen it spawn at the parking lot on the very southern tip of Vespucci Beach; I do not recall which parking spot

 

4- Believe it or not, I have never seen it spawn at the golf course despite it being the most popular spot to search and I have circled the course many many many times to induce new spawns without luck. But from what I hear it would be in the second to last parking spot of the right.

 

THIS is how I ended up finding it 2 days ago though, after relentlessly searching for hours (WITH the Simeon text with the Tailgater listed as a requested car mind you) at the above locations. Monitor the green Simeon cars that pop up on the map! I had heard that the Tailgater sometimes spawns as the Simeon vehicle but had never actually seen it happen (Mostly because I rarely go for those vehicles when I can sell a random Oracle for 8k daily). As soon as I decided to check that it was the FIRST spawn that I lucked out and got it! NOTE- when doing so the car will not be able to enter your garage. I had to kill someone attempting to bring it to Simeon and then limp it to a LS Customs shop where it allowed me to install a tracker and insurance on it. Hope this helps you guys; it increases your chances but TRUST ME it is not fun trying to get this thing.

You'll find it in the golf course parking lot. If it's not there, just go into another lobby until it spawns. You'll have a better chance of finding it when Simeon requests it.

I found mine in the gold club as above, in the 2nd to last space on the right as you drive in.

I foolishly got rid of it and of course now that I want another one, I can't find any!

I got one only hours ago at the golf course. Definitely still spawns there post 1.09.

Ive just found another at the golf club.
All I did was drive between the film studio car park and the golf club 3 times and on the 3rd time there was a black one sitting there

I have found this car only 3 times in hours of searching. It only appears on Sundays between 8-5 at the golf course and must be on Simeon's list.

Yeah if it's on Simeon's list, some guy drives past quickly in it so you have to chase him, usually a black tailgater. f*cking discreet little c*nt he is because he managed to dodge me. I hunt him for sport if he shows up and I sell his tailgater as a reward lol. Try invite only, get it on Simeon's list and it's going to drive past you in 5 minutes tops. Also, it can turn up in the golf course parking lot, I think that's where it spawns before the speeding noob tries to hide it from you for some weird reason.
