i just realised something about the sentinel man

originally, you would lose all your cash if you died holding some

now, you only drop small wads of cash depending on how much you even have

anyway, the sentinel guy shows up when you join a session or return from a job, and his only purpose is to kill you, no?

 

rockstar originally set us up to lose the money we made during jobs, if we didnt get away from the road in time :]

Back to the point, the OP just simply noted that as GTA0 was originally designed, the Sentinel guy (which I rarely encounter anymore) was a mechanism that could kill you out the the blue by running you over from behind, for example, and cause you to lose a pile of cash you just earned, back when we used to all be grinding for a few pathetic $K. He's saying what a dick move that was. Back then, I always had so little money on me, there wasn't much to take. The cost of the death itself is what hurt.

you did lose all your money when dying, at one point in development or even on the first day of online too

i swear that i had $3k during the part where i had to buy new clothes, and then someone killed me, then i respawned with nothing
