Did that many people complain that the cops were too aggressive that R* dumbbed down the cops in the 1.09 patch?

 

It took them over 5 minutes to kill me while my friend was sitting still with three stars in a convertible.

 

Or

 

Did we just get lucky and get the cops with the worse aim in the world?

Im glad. Was very annoying for the cops to shoot me through concrete walls, and while in cover. Now it seems more realistic. They still need a little tweaking, bu this is definitely a good start. PVP battles can finally have some endurance.

I haven't noticed any difference. I can explain this. Whenever a new patch comes out, people will report that X was changed to some extent, Y. When really, nothing was actually modified and they're just experiencing a placebo effect because they're paying more attention to the details than they would have before a patch.

3 stars means a heli, which means they are not f*cking around.

2 stars they look for you and should be easily avoided, same with 1 star.

but 3 stars and not being able to aim? come on....

the cops in this game are so f*cking serious, and they still suck!

3 stars IRL would be a hell of a news story, and so would the cop who shot the guy for taking a picture of him just standing there. its either too much or not enough with these cops (and most other things rockstar deals with)

I agree the cops can be very aggressive at times but part of the fun of this game is getting away from them.

 

IRL they wouldn't come out shooting but they would chase you till the dawn of time if and won't stop looking till they are sure you are gone from the area or very well hid but I hope they didn't dumb them down too much they needed tweaking but not so much to where it took 5 minutes to kill us

I don't know about that, but what I do know is that you'll post this exact same topic with the exact same wording in about two-to-three weeks and when someone says that this topic has been made before, you'll vehemently deny it until someone presents you with the link to this topic, at which point you'll just stop responding altogether.

agreed. some people would rather stand dormant hoping to take out the other NPC just for that one above you kill.

 

Were you wearing a tshirt of +5 Bullet deflection?

I like the cops. If I went outside right now and started shooting people at random, no doubt eventually the cops would be a hassle like they are in this game. As much as I want to crush other players, when my wanted stars go up, I make getting away from the cops my main priority and now they don't kill me as much.

lol. true. if you are smart enough its a perfect window to create another ambush position and hopefully fully remove a wanted level.

In real life if you had a gun in your hand while they were trying to detain you they would also not wait long till they shot you. Even if the reason they were trying to detain you was over something small. They are not gonna wait to see if youre really gonna shoot them once you raise your assault riffle or dont drop it. And if they arrested you like in sp and you lost all your weapons there would be even more crybaby threads

However I always thought it would be amusing on 1 - 2 stars the cop try to pull you over instead of trying to ram you into oblivion... but i guess that is "trying to pull you over when you dont stop" tactics...

I feel like their dialogue in GTA O when try to pull you over should be changed to show their true intentions.

 

''Pull over so we can kill you easilly!'' could be a good one.

Their aim might be worse but if anything I would say they are smarter. My go to 5* move is to get behind the barriers underneath the loops by the one LSC and then blow up the Cops as they come down the ramp and then drive out under the tunnel and into the drain.

 

Now it's nearly impossible because instead of lining up and coming down the ramp the extra Cops will get out of their cars on the bridge and shoot me from over the rail.

 

I did this numerous times yesterday and each time they shoot over the rail when it never even happened once before.

My bad, got confused with ammo vs weapons...pull your head out of your ass.

 

EDIT: Actually, i have lost weapons before and only had the pistol left - got an answer for that?

If they knew how to make cops or enemies it would have worked from the start. Be happy they don't spawn behind you traveling at twice supercar speed now.
