Crazyeighties
What's the longest amount of time you ever spent in a hospital in late 2008 early 09 I spent 4 months it was pure hell, thankfully I don't remember a whole lot of that stay... GunWrath
6 months recovering from wounds and surgeries, then was moved to another clinic for physical therapy. Definitely hated it, worse than jail.
I<3GTAV
Around 3 hours. I had a cyst inside my mouth so I had to get surgery which I believe only took less than an hour. I then stayed at the hospital for about another two hours before eagerly going home.
Frank Brown
8 days for a spinal fusion. The first part went off without a hitch and I wasn't supposed to be there more than 4 days, but the physician's assistant insisted on removing the blood drains from my back too soon and it snapped off so, I had to go in for a second surgery and be there another 4 days. Raavi
The last time I really spend the night in an actual hospital was when I was born. I intend to keep it that way *knock on wood*. I have had quite a few ER trips though.. God I hate those. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

I'm sorry I know how bad spinal fusion is. I also had spinal fusion after a spine surgery after they had to repair a rare form of Spina Bifoda called Tethord Cord Syndrome they tried to Corrrect it when I was 15 (witch is really late to find the problem) I had the surgery with some complications I spent 9 days flat on my back after the surgery the nurse sat me up to early and took out the drains but this caused a leak in my dura (the lining of the spinal cord) causing spinal fluid to leak out an a large fluid filled lump my spine. I went in for another surgery to fix that I was in the hospital for an additional 14 days and 13 of that was flat on my back.( here are some links for information for those that do not know what tethered cord syndrome is.. http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/tethered_cord/tethered_cord.htm (what is tethord cord) http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tethered_spinal_cord_syndrome (tethord cord syndrome) http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spina_bifida (what is spina bifida) Frank Brown
Der Süden
About 1 hour in 2005. I fell through ice and suffered from hypothermia. When I was a little boy, I broke my leg and was probably longer in hospital, but I can not remember anything. marco-polo
When i was 7-8 i had to spend two days in hospital for some kind of arthritis treatment relating to my knee. Try crawling around because it's your only way to move without the pain. I still remember that
Panz
As a patient? Like an hour, when I broke my finger. Got my teddy bear and my finger splint and I was on my merry way. I work in a hospital, though, so that changes things. 16 hours at most there. I've never spent a night in a hospital now that I think about it. I guess I'll save that for childbirth (and hopefully nothing else).
TheGodDamnMaster
I was hospitalized for depression for a week a few years back. I don't know if psychiatric facilities count as "hospitals" to you though. The only time I've ever had to go the ER was when I was a toddler and that was because I was dehydrated. Tacymist
A car kind of splatted my legs a little so I had to spend about 4 or 5 days in the hospital. I guess it was that long, they had me on morphine and sh*t, which was awesome. What wasn't awesome was having to be in a wheelchair and having to sh*t in a bucket in the living room for 6 weeks. My bones healed up nicely though. I thank all the cheese I ate for that, and everyone that took care of me of course.
GoldenBlade
I spent a week in the hospital when I was in 2nd grade. Got out the day of my birthday. I stayed due to pneumonia, and also found out that I had asthma.

Mine wasn't nearly as bad. They fused most of my spine and I was able to walk, albeit with a walker, less than a day after. I was walking without the walker on the 6th day. And then I began to walk on water and healed the sick.
Moth
As a patient? I've never had to go to the hospital for an emergency, or illness for myself. Been there for a check up, but that was only for an hour. When my dad had surgery, I was pretty much there for an entire day. It was boring, but also extremely stressful. A pretty bad combination. Kiffster
About a week in 1994. I had a nasty case of African Tick Bite Fever after being bitten by one of these: We were in a field and me and my bro were sitting on a massive rock. I felt something crawling on my leg, and when I looked down the rock was covered with those suckers. Although it wasn't until a day (or 2?) later that I became really sick. My mom took me to the doctor late at night, and I was admitted to hospital there and then. Edited January 12, 2014 by Werebot85

Real_Badgirl
Just a few hours. I fractured my right wrist when I was 17, and I had to go to the ER (it was around 11 at night, so the regular section of the hospital was closed). They were pretty busy, so I had to wait around for a while before a doctor could see me. One of the bones in the bottom of my hand was broken, so I had to get this soft cast like thing put on. Fireman
20-24 hours or so when I was 1 year-old. I had to ask my parents how long I was in the hospital for, because I obviously can't remember what I did when I was 1. It was eye-surgery. DEALUX
I have only been hospitalized twice, both times for about 4-5 days. The first time I felt a rather strong pain sensation in my abdomen and my parents rushed me to the hospital. They admitted me because they thought it might be appendicitis, but the pain was gone before they even put me in a bed. Funny thing is that I subsequently had a similar but even worse experience and the doctor just gave me some meds (the pain was gone again after I came back home from the pharmacy). The second time happened a few years after. I basically had some nasty food poisoning and they admitted me for some reason. I slept at home at night, and went back in the morning (I was admitted at my local hospital this time). I never go to the doctor nowadays if I get food poisoning. The best way I could describe the pain would be a combination of being shot, stabbed then beat with a baseball bat.... The only thing that would releave the pain was laying down. Because it would equalize the pressure being built by the leaking fluid Frank Brown
