I'm more irritated by the fact that so many random people have access to hitmen. This breaks immersion. Sure, it was cool when every now an then you messed with the wrong guy, but not every single person in town!

 

Let me tell you how this script works...

 

One time I had a tank, gave it to my friend, and then went into LSC. When I came out, I got into my tank, and then got a call from Pegasus saying my vehicle had been moved to storage, even though I was sitting in it. Then I get a text saying I messed with the wrong person and a bounty on my head. From who? Pegasus? Bullsh*t.

They also have Simeon vehicles for a reason. If there's incentive to steal cars, there shouldn't also be a punishment.

The bounties are fine... It's the odds of the event happening that is way to high. Seems like the script runs and decides to do it almost 50% of the time, when it should be way more rare, like less than 5%.

Why do so many people have such difficulty playing a piss easy game ? Yes, it's Grand Theft Auto and the idea is to steal cars(although alot think it's about twanking people till they quit) but, that doesn't mean you can just take any car you want, stealing is supposed to carry a threat of danger. San Andreas is a crime infested city and so don't assume that just because it's an NPC they're automatically a law abiding citizen. You and the other 15 players in a full server are suppose to be just a snapshot of what goes on in a day of the life of...

 

You steel my car and I'm gonna chase and try to kill you. The game or, infact the console isn't advanced enough to make every NPC act like a human counterpart so, it sets a bounty on you to encourage other players to do the chasing for them/it. It's the game and it's the way the game works, just play it and learn from it. I rarely get an NPC bounty and that's because I'm rarely without my own PV. If I join a mission, it's from my car, if it gets destroyed I call Mors instantly and likewise if it gets impounded, I will hop into an NPC car just to pick it up....I won't just leave it and rant about how sh*t the impound is and spend the next hour jumping from NPC car to car. If you're sick of NPC bounties....then change the way you organise your crime....it really is that simple. So many people cause their own problems in this game....learn to cope, it's part of the game, the game is different for everyone because we do things differently. Learn to be successful.

what about those times when you have to wait? i have had to take a random car to get away from tanks and such and gotten a bounty even after killing the driver.

 

what a f*ckin dumb idea. glitch central with AI bounties. i have never had a dead man text my phone after never giving him my number in the first place.... hmm...

How do you guys know the bounty is being placed on you because you killed the driver from family members or friends? If the cops can come down on you for shooting someone with a silenced pistol in the wilderness, surely friends/family know who you be!

 

Seriously, you get a bounty and get killed..wtf move on. I'm not understanding all this whining about the weapons and tools in this game. WTF are you doing in this game if you aren't out killing/being killed/trolling? To me, atm this game is like a civilian/urban shooter.

 

I've had times I've stood on the highway jacking cars until I get a bounty. Seems like when you want one it never happens!

I play in invite only most of the time, which means I end up collecting it nearly 100% of the time. It's free money, so I can't complain. I just get annoyed with the bounty notifications you get 'every single time' you come back to the lobby. Just have a small icon on the screen that lets you know you have an active bounty and be done with it.

Personally, I just let a friend kill me right away so other players don't harass me. I prefer to be the hunter, not the prey. A bounty sends the lobby after you instead of someone else. Not a big deal once in awhile, but this event is not random enough for immersion,

It's mildly annoying but i've enjoyed so many years of stealing cars in video game land that I got over it.

 

If you're trying to make money just enter more missions, races, survivals, etc.

Its kind of annoying and just now I stole a car, got the expected 7K bounty, made it to the tiny desert airstrip, and then took off only to get blown out of the sky by someone's missile without any warning. Spawned and stole a scrap heap of a car and again got a bounty, managed to get in a plane and as soon as I got airborne boom I'm blown out of the sky yet again. I pretty much have to solely rely on the mechanic to bring a car over to avoid getting the damn bounty every single time but sometimes you need to make a quick escape and don't have the 15 seconds it takes for him to get to your location.

NPC bounties are bullturds.

 

Sometimes my vehicle is impounded and I don't want to call another vehicle and destroy it and pay for it. Sometimes I die and spawn far away from my vehicle. Sometimes my vehicle gets too f*cked up and I need to ditch it, but I can't call another one because I'm "too close" and the time it would take to get there is too costly, anyway. When the mechanic was still around, too often would I have to snatch another car to chase him down, or he would drop my vehicle off on a bridge above me, which still happens.

 

Plus, Simeon vehicles, new vehicles that I want to make my own, vehicles I want to sell at LSC, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Alright I'll post this one more time to be nice, all you have to do is steal the car and get back out after a few seconds, wait at least 20 seconds (and make sure you're not standing right next to the car, be at least a few feet away) then get back into the car and drive away.

 

NPC bounties only activate if you're in the car at the time you would expect to see the text message that you'll be on a slab, if you're outside of the car when it would have happened you won't get the bounty and you'll be free to get back in the stolen car without reprocussions.

 

I had it happen once that I was standing next to the car and touching it while depositing money in my bank through my phone while I waited out the 20 seconds, and I somehow got the bounty put on me, but that was a fluke and I've never had it happen again, just don't stand right next to the car and you should be fine. You're welcome.
