Glitching into other player's garage's.

I've had this happen 3 times so far since day 1 midnight release wheir the apartment door is invisible or just simply gone. Well it begins by me either being in my apartment already OR a bounty im chasing happens to live in the same apartment i do. Everytime this glitch happened, i WAS able to take something from other people's garage's.

 

this is how i got my adder, fully modded. The first time i encountered this glitch i didnt know what was going to happen. i walked thru the door into the hallway and down to "my" garage. As i came thru the elevator door i saw to my amazment, their was a garage, with completly different cars then what i had owned. i didnt have an adder at the time and i didnt really want one either. but, i walked up to that drivers door and i tried opening it.... it opened.... along with a message saying "you dont have access to so and so's car.... but he still got in.

 

i was smiling like a fat kid eatting cake, when that ugly lime green bugatti with dollar sign rims pulled outta "my" garage. so i rushed down to LSC to see what my trusty mechanic can do with this obamanation of an adder...(you see what i did there?)... he pulled it thru the garage door and went to work. matte white paint, limo tint and flourecent blue super five rims (DROOLS). now she sits in my garage and only comes out for bountys and other non-sense. the other time i did this glitch i couldnt take cars but i stole his mountain bike LOL.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TL;DR i glitched into some kids garage and stole his sh*t. SO LOCK YO DOORS AND HIDE YO WIFE!!!

How exactly did the glitch happen? Just randomly? Or do you know how to repeat it at all?

I've seen this once and it's how I got my first super car (Entity) before the money started flowing. Drove it to LSC and it let me put insurance on it... I was like, okay.. great

If I ever glitch into someone's garage, I won't steal their cars. Instead, I'll just give them more tasteful paint jobs and return them to their owner

as far as i know there theres no way to replicate it. it happens when it happens lol. i feel bad for the guy who lost his adder.. but then again it went to a good home :] someone getting there bike stolen thou is hilarious

We don't really know if they lost their vehicles though

This happened to me before, I even used the SUV I stole to kill the previous owner.

Before 1.09 I've glitched a few times into other people's garages before (unintentional) through that invisible/no door in apartment but have never been able to get into locked cars...

One time when I went from my apartment to garage, for about one second I saw a different player there in my garage, but he disappeared after a second or less, as the game loaded my proper database. Perhaps these glitches where the player stays in the other guy's garage happen when there is some internet lag, and the database gives up trying to load the player's own database?

 

So I am now wondering, if you are in you garage, viewing a player on TV, and that player has the same garage as you (i.e., same apartment) and he drives into his garage, so that, at that moment, your game had his location database loaded, I wonder if there is a more likely possibility that the database might get confused or not loaded?

Lol some of the sh*t paint jobs people put on cars is unreal. Sometimes the person must have done it on purpose because it's so terrible that he can't possibly think it looks good :S But there are some god awful looking cars out there on the streets.

If you remove a vehicle from their garage, it will replace the existing vehicle you have in that slot.
