WinterEdit
I am not trying to advertise it or anything, but that looks pretty cool. It basically allows you move your entire body and the avatar or character in the game reacts the same way. So you could do trickshots with different guns (like the guy shows in the video), roll or break dance if you want to. If played with Oculus Rift (you know, the Virtual Reality "glasses" shown in the video too) and Virtuix Omni (an omnidirectional treadmill - allows you to move in every direction in the game without you moving in real life at all), it could get bloody epic. Especially in a zombie survival game or GTA. But would you buy any of these? Why, why not? I would, possibly all of them. Unless they are overpriced or something, that is, because this seems like epicness itself. Although there might be a long time until there are enough games compatible with all of these (there are a lot compatible with Oculus already, though), I doubt these will be overlooked... I wouldn't be the first to get these though. When there are more games that support these things, then I would get them.
RedDagger
Removing money constraints, this, rift, hydra and omni for a game that supports them? Hell yes. With constraints? Let's hope the consumer model has a good price and is supported by enough games. One way this could be improved is if it provides resistance so you can interact with the world, so if you push against a door it pushes back, or it feels like you're gripping a steering wheel. Man, that'd be awesome.
Mista J
If I had the money for the whole package then yeah! I'd buy it in a second. but as I don't have the cash to spend on something like this then nope, I guess I won't be able to enjoy.
Fireman
I saw the consumer model of that treadmill which seemed VERY uncomfortable. You're basically locked into a ring and a wire that you have to drag with you when you turn around, but apart from the using the treadmill the rest looks a lot of fun, but ALL DEM WIRES. It seems you'll break it pretty quickly if you're not careful and being careful means you can't play enthusiastic, which means it's less fun. It's a good start, I wouldn't buy this yet, I'm sure they'll make more advanced versions later.
OysterBarron
All though I do not doubt vr body gear will eventually take off I'm not to sure about this. Immersion is a good part of gaming and I'm sure this will help that. But for the time being I imagine this setup appealing to sportsmen and women more than your average gamer. I'm not sure about the rest of you but I game in my relaxation time I'm not sure after a hard days graft I would be up for 8 rounds of cod in a row while using this device. The best Vr body gear I have seen is a body jacket that has vibration built in. You wear it like a flak jacket and depending where you get shot translates into vibrations on your back or front depending on direction of fire. Not to strenuous on the body but adds extra depth. Killerdude
Call me old fashioned, but all this fancy high tech stuff simply doesn't interest me. So to answer the question, No, Unless someone gave it to me as a Gift, I wouldn't plan on owning one.
El Dildo
I would gladly buy this if it were cost-effective and more integrated. right now the Oculus is a bolt-on. but give it a few years.
