Gifting Car After Tracker is Applied?

Is it possible? I found an NPC car that my friend really wants but he isn't online at the moment and I'd rather not sit idly in a LSC for however long it takes him to sign on.

I heard about a tank method but i'm not sure.

Funny how i was the one explaining that method but it was deleted by some half assed mod around here back then. I'm not sure if it works after the patch but it goes like this:

 

Get in car, Get a friend in the session, you knock off 1 of your front wheels, friend gets in car with you, you call MMI for a new car the old car is now tracker free. You leave the session and the other player can now save it.

 

 

Now you can also make yourself invisible from the entire map for everybody and still kill them by now letting him get in that car and wait outside, while you enter LSC with your new car. the game glitches up and kicks him out the car that lost the tracker and bam, you're killing ghost for as long as you remain in the car and or around it. ASAP as you enter another vehicle, you'll be on the map again.

 

 

As for now, it may be patched. I haven't checked it for some time.

that could only mean either my game glitched the few times i stored stolen cars or you must've did something to trigger that

If you go to a mod shop and apply the tracker it costs $2000. If you take that car into your garage first then go to the mod shop the tracker will already be applied. Been that way since day one...

wait til you end up having to buy a car that you already own again, cuz it apparently got erased from your garage. happened to me recently

How much money do you have?

 

Store the car in the garage, then do the duplication method to dupe it for him/her, but when you buy the new apartment just dashboard so you won't get charged.
